She fully didn't watch the segment because Jon did a very nuanced, thoughtful segment. He drilled down to kids just wanting to have a community and have fun.
What these TERFS are pissed off about is that he showed how disingenuous y'all are when you go "omg that trans athlete hit a ball really hard and it hurt a cis women" because when you look into it cis women even on their team hit harder then them. Because he pointed out that cis girls harm each other in sports all the damn time. He pointed out that when there was a bill to protect cis women athletes against sexual predators like coaches. Y'all decided not to pass that while passing an anti-trans bills all while claiming you just care about protecting women.
Damn, I had no idea we were that powerful. Nice!

Replies to this post regarding Hogwarts Legacy
This is one of the most bad faith takes I've seen on this, and I've seen some pretty bad ones.
I'm not going to argue on this. I mean, that whole post is about how there really is no more arguing to be done here, you either value people's lives or you value personal entertainment. You've gone for the latter. You just don't want to admit it so you spew out this garbage to justify it to yourself.
If you want to play the game, just play the stupid game. It's not like anyone is going to physically stop you. But for goodness sake, shut up about it. You're all just making yourselves look even worse.
BTW your transmedicalism and antisemitism are showing. Thought you might want to know
I am so done arguing with people about Hogwarts Legacy. At this point, if you don't get why supporting the game is harmful, it's because you've chosen not to.
The reasoning has been laid out in the most hand-holding way possible by so many people. Many of whom have been extremely nice and calm about it. But that doesn't stop y'all from whining about how everyone against the game is a mean ole bully harassing you for no reason. (I am begging you to read the last part of that sentence in a highly condescending old-timey prospector voice)
I could go on all day about the bad faith arguments that keep popping up about why the game is good actually. Nevermind that it's about stopping a rebellion by Jewish stereotypes because it would be disadvantageous for the oppressors Wizards to not have them be subservient. They also really want to gloss over the game having an MtF character with a fully masculine voice and face named Sirona Ryan.
(Sorry, tangent, this is a world wherein people use magic to alter the appearance of themselves or others in literally every book, but it's not possible to fully transition????)
Anyway! I don't want to, and shouldn't have to, spend any more of my time explaining why capitalism isn't a free pass to buy a game that supports a racist, transphobic, and honestly just plain evil person. If you can't comprehend why using Twitter is different from spending $80 on a game, it's because you don't actually care. It's not because the Jewish and trans communities didn't spend months explaining it to you in ways that infants could understand. You just do not care about those communities.
And I wish you would just admit it.
Just say that you value your personal entertainment over other people's actual lives.
Stop pretending that it is anything else.
It isn't. And you know it.
Female friend: So wait, why don't you just out some other clothes on? Are you like even trans or are you just gay? I mean like just asking or whatev lol
What I want to say -*Me: Well maybe if you listened to me then you would know why, having girl stuff is hard when your parents don't even give you a room of your own, put you wouldn't understand that would you?*
What I really said-"well, uuh, idk, maybe your right I guess, eh, stuff costs money you know? Heh, um, idk, not really shure what I'm talking about I guess....."
If you claim racism, misogyny, misandrism, transphobia, and homophobia no longer exist, than you are part of the problem. These groups are still extremely oppressed and discriminated against, and if you attempt to brush aside their experiences by stating that this isn’t going on, than you are not helping at all. This sort of oppression exists nearly everywhere, and saying it doesn’t is just plain ignorant. Please respect people’s experiences, and educate yourself on what’s really happening in your world at the moment, because I guarantee, after reading a few news articles, you will find yourself with a lot more knowledge than you started out with.
Pedophelia is wrong. It is a serious issue, and if we keep normalizing and being accepting of this disgustingness, than we’re going to forget the fact that we are talking about the well-being of children, whom we seem to care quite a bit about when it comes to transgender people using the bathroom and abortion. This is much more important than either of those things, and we all seem to be overlooking that.
Everyone is deserving of respect. Except for rapists, homophones, transphobes, misogynists, misandrists, and murderers.
The fact people complitely forget how Ava/Kris turned out to be into cp "art" and only use this information as another excuse to be transphobic towards her is gross af.
y’all, so there this really cool trans dude on youtube called ezra, or ez, but their comment section is filled with hateful comments and rude people. if anybody has the time, i’m sure he would appreciate it if you supported, or at least help their content get filtered to better people. the comments pictured below are on a video of ezra addressing their pronouns (he/they)
@ ezbutler on youtube.
Let’s all just collectively stop being homophobic and just be @spiralstatic29
It's still morbidly hilarious to me how transphobes will say "trans people have to tell everybody they're trans!" and go on to say "we can always tell"
You can not have both, y'all.
Sometimes people can surprise us ☺🏳️⚧️

I hate it when people say that people choose to be trans, or say that being trans is a choice
This week my dysphoria got so bad that I was considering death, I hated my body so much in that moment that I considered ruining my own prospects for a better life. If being trans was a choice, I don't think I'd choose to be trans, because of the dysphoria. Because of that suffering. Yes I've become part of a community and I've gotten closer with some good friends. Yes I've had happy moments. This does not negate the fact that I hate my body so much that I will start HRT and I'll spend money to start to make this body mine, make this body one that I feel I can be actually proud of.
If being trans was a choice then people in the world wouldn't have moments when their dysphoria is so bad that reaching for rope or metal feels like a better alternative to life
If being trans was a choice then there wouldn't be so much controversy about laws for trans people, it would be a simple choice like a tattoo or a piercing
If being trans was a choice then I would be happier, happier with my body, happier with my existence.
I hate all that say "being trans is a choice" because it shows how negligent they are to the lives of trans people.
I would like to clarify that not every trans person experiences dysphoria, no, and they are just as valid as trans people who do.
I dislike the people who are negligent of the pain that some trans people experience, negligent of the struggles trans people face so often in society
No, not everyone is trans-phobic, but not everyone understands. The ones who are so trans-phobic that they yell and scream in the streets or hold up signs or petition laws are so loud and it makes me feel like so few people actually care about or understand trans people.
stop making excuses for playing hogwarts legacy.
“the people who worked on the game need to be supported tho 🥺”
the people who worked on the game already got their cut and went home. your money is just going towards jkr and the corporation
“but harry potter was my childhood 🥺”
same. but this isn’t revisiting old media. this is an entirely new product. and you’re allowed to grow out of things and move on when the dead horse gets beaten and your media literacy skills improve.
“but i pirated it 🥺”
playing the game cannot be moralized through piracy because giving money to jk rowling is not the only issue here. the game is violently antisemitic. playing it cannot be evened out through piracy, charity donations, etc. the world doesn’t work like that.
“can’t you just let me have fun? 🥺”
if playing a game made by a racist, transphobic, antisemitic, fatphobic bigot (and a team including at least one alt-right influencer) where the entire plot is to defeat the jews goblins because of white wizard supremacy is fun to you then i think you might need to seriously consider why.
if you are playing hogwarts legacy and/or supporting it online you are choosing to value a video game over the lives of jewish and trans people. you are allying yourself against jewish and trans people. if people hate you for choosing a video game over human lives you have no grounds to be upset.
sometimes doing good things and being an ally is difficult. sometimes it means not doing something that you wanted to do. it’s sucks but that’s life. get over it and shut up.
I think it really does speak for just how deeply there is something wrong with the online queer community that trans guys & mascs reaching out genuinely to say "we're dealing with a lot of issues that have gone completely undiscussed and it's bad enough that some of these things are killing us, and none of you even know they're happening" results in such a vitriolic response that there's been targeted harassment at every major blogger who's talked about it. like that's the immediate honest response to a plea for pain and suffering to be heard. what the hell.
straight allies need protect transgender from SS(super straight)
When you spend years miserable trying to accept yourself to slowly discover tons of people hate you without knowing you because you dare trying not to be miserable anymore, it hurts. As if I wanted to be like this, not to be "normal". As if it wouldn't have been way easier to be like everyone. With the elections coming in a few months, it feels like hate has become the new normal online. I wish I cared less about it but there are so many people thinking this... I don't follow any news accounts but it's impossible to avoid. Sometimes, I think about all the hate and threats I can get just for writing these lines publicly and it's terrifying.
