Working the Late Night Shift

The lineart on this is still a little scribbly, but uhhh, Eelektross!Emmet and Chandelure!Ingo.

Ok i can‘t stop thinking about that diamond warden emmet au and i made this here today. Please forgive me for the sketchy quality but i was im a hurry but wanted to draw this down :3

About the Au: basically arceus trows both twins at the same time to hisui but sadly both ends up separated and in the other clan without any memories. They meet each other due to clan shenanigans but don‘t remember each other beside having an familiar feeling about each other. We as the player help them regaining there memories with more shenanigans. Also the fact that they look the same is a running gag that nobody gets.

As my good friend @viivaroo said it:

„Pffffff naaah they don‘t look the same! Emmet wears blue!“

Also everyone is not allowed to mention battles near emmet while he is doing stuff.

We are two halves of a whole.

So I suddenly felt inspired to draw some more Ingo and Emmet stuff. But not the typical somewhat story driven angst comics I did previously. More like.. a “day-in-the-life-of” type deal. Like my Mario and Luigi content. I also wanted to draw some more expressions with the boys that weren’t twisted faces of tears and agony-

I also wanted to try to stay away from the hard angst this time. And just draw something that is overall pleasant. As I was sketching some ideas I realized that I never drew Elesa! Her fanon friendship with the twins seemed really fun to draw so I threw her in there too XD

I know nothing of Elesa’s canon personality so I just made it up entirely– <XD I pictured her being the mom friend who very dearly loves her two very tall sons.

As for the last bit. Uhg, well I tried XD I can never seem to fully separate myself from angsty stuff. But at least it was light and it had a funny twist at the end! :DD

Some context for the image under the cut:

It was common for Pokemon and items to slip through the space-time distortions. What made this occasion memorable was that an entire train station platform slipped through during the night.

Akari went to investigate when she heard the report. Despite it being early in the morning, she wasn't the first one to arrive. Ingo was there, sitting on a bench, deep in thought.

"Hey, Ingo," Akari greeted as she sat down beside him, cradling her sleeping Rowlet, "Are you waiting on a train?"

"Good morning, Miss Akari," Ingo said, blinking as if waking from a dream. "I'm afraid no trains will be coming into the station today. The tracks stop after a point, uncoupling this station from its sister stop."

"Maybe they'll be reconnected one day? After we sort out this whole space-time distortion stuff."

"That would be the most favorable outcome, yes."

Ingo relapsed into his thoughts, a shadow cast over him. A hush fell over the trio.

When the sun rose far enough into the sky to burn away some of the fog hanging around the station, Ingo finally stood up and readjusted his worn out hat.

"Let's prepare for departure, Miss Akari! It's an excellent day to make tracks in your journey."

"Yes, let's!" Akari sprang up, eager to start the day.

I guess it's safe to say that I'm feeling artistic today xP

Shortly arriving home after a rather glum day, Elesa finds herself staring at an old photo. Receiving a call from another gym leader, explaining Emmet's absence from Ingo's funeral.

"I don't blame him for not coming, he still believes Ingo is out there" :(

I imagine it must have been horrible for Emmet and Elesa after his disappearance. The sleepless nights, the paused events, and the endless searching. ~

I sure hope Ingo comes back home to Nimbasa 💛 🤍 🖤
