I mean it feels like conversation I had with my friend when I was retelling her fanfic I read
No regrets about rewatching
19 innocent people 9 of whom were children (on the playground)—that is how ruzzians call a so-called meeting place of (military) commanders and instructors that was bombed succesfully.
that is how ruzzian peace looks like. occupation, murders, gaslighting, and bloodlust.
There is no cure for pro-r*ussian or so-called "polite influences" on social media.
I have recently been scrolling my YouTube and found a brand new video about food overconsumption. I read a few comments and, after putting a dislike, closed the video.
There was r*ssian coment, and of course, it was liked by an author. The message of the comment was that Americans eat the worst military food, bless the monarch of r*ssian empire, food should be nutritional, and so on.
First, as a Ukrainian, I saw many vids about r*ssian military food (made by r*ussians) where they were (so ironically) vomiting and telling this is just fat and porridge... It was the time I laughed.
Second, I am impressed how stupid the author is cause she liked it (btw she had a British accent, THE FOOK YER DOING A CHARAID?). Just because a terrorist loves flowers like you do it does not mean you have to support terrorism.
Third...Actually, it is not the first time I see how people like and are really impressed by comments like "as a r*ssian, I...", "I am from r*ssia and we...". You have never spoke to them, never seen the real r*ssia and you fucking forget there is the war in Ukraine — WHAAAATEVER, why not to like it, it is just a comment?
Because it is a lie and all the r*ssian users are just a piece of huge 150 million (less, I guess, whatever) shit making fun of you, pretending to be a better state. Instead of being ofenced and tell em to go to fuck themselves people are eating shit and are comfortable with a self-abasement.
Overconsumption is not the reason the USA is worse than an error state with no normal roads, houses, medicine, psychological health, but with huge half imperial half soviet ambitions, and so on.
And I do not even want to listen to your "bwbwbbababab r*ssians deserve for better lives you cannot be so mean, blah blah blah". They don't. They simply don't. Never deserved. Tell all the Georgians, Baltic countries, the Finnish, Polish people, Romanians, Moldovans (etc) r*ussians are good, and you will get your mouth stuffed with nails and crap.

Today, I found a post of a non-European who complained about how the Spanish criticized foreigners for nor speaking Spanish. It reminds me of posts about how Europeans hate when Americans are not bilingual or are not speaking their mother tongue.
As an Eastern European, specifically, as a Ukrainian, I personally give no sheesh whether you speak Ukrainian or not. However...
First, not all Ukrainians speak English/Spanish/French/German etc.
You cannot simply come here and expect us to speak English fluently. Elder generations speak English badly, my generation (um...actually, I am not gen Z according to our generation theory...I am Y...uummmm...however!) also refuses to speak (but learns), the youngest gen Alpha cannot speak English yet. Why? Because we cannot practice it, we have no extra money to travel all around the world (even before the war, ye know), and as an English language teacher, I have to say the methods of teaching English in Ukraine are...particularly ineffective. Same situations with less spreaded languages.
Second, we want you to speak Ukrainian.
It is a common situation (especially before the war) when a foreigner surely learns French or German but thinks English will be enough in Ukraine. You may say that is because Slavic languages are hard to (at least) speak, but many of you choose russian to learn. Moreover, there are absolutely brainless and somehow pragmatic people (yeah, Chinese, I am speaking about you) thinking it is enough to speak russian in Ukraine, the mother language of Ukrainians does not matter.
We want you to speak Ukrainian. We do not really care how bad you speak. We will surely (try to) understand you and correct if it is necessary. Our language is unique, and we want not only all the Ukrainians to speak it but also foreigners to learn.
btw how did I learn English...? well...I am a philologist of English and Chinese languages, and I have a bachelor degree (yet).

The family of the 14-year-old girl who died in a russian airstrike in Kharkiv had just begun to recover from another loss — the girl's father had previously gone missing in the Donetsk area, her relative Olga told Ukrainian media 'Suspilne.'
In the picture is a photo of the deceased girl with her head torn apart by the explosion of a russian bomb. On the right are mocking comments from cheering russians.
At the time of the attack, the schoolgirl was sitting on a bench near a children playground.

this one creep just tells shit and nothing more, but how many people were r@ped and killed by ruzzians during the war...? sick nation ought to be wasted.
an "ordinary russian" man : "I want to catch a 16-year-old khokhlushka (slur for a ukrainian woman) whose father died near Bakhmut, take off her underwear and tights, leave her only with a t-shirt with the inscription “Everything will be Ukraine”and roar to deflower her, kissing her tears and looking at her into the eyes where the pupils dilate to the size of Mother Russia."
these are the people you like to infantilise and justify so much btw
як доросла людина, я усвідомлюю, що це кумедна і люта шиза (це відповіді на твіттері? бо я там не сидів ніколи, вибачєйте ґазду), та після скріну у мене все ригає in any way.)))
btw, every time I see a freepalestiner (the first one user from the pic) I automatically diagnose em as mentally sick and uneducated, why does the person have to perceive sheeple's bleat?
You may ask what this person did to get these kind of messages. Well, they asked Japanese mascot account to not use russian social media that is controlled by russian government. I repeat, people tell them to kill themselves because they asked to not use and promote website that is supported by russian ruling government.
in Berdyansk, I spent almost 8 summer holidays.
long time ago, I was a bit sad I had not been born there...now, with a bitter feeling in my heart, I can only thank to my luck I live far away.
I wish I could think of occupied regions as of safety places again.

Russians bragging about war crimes. Nothing new, of course, they've been committing those in the occupied territories of Ukraine since 2014. "Throw to the basement" means imprisoning a person in a torture chamber. You can get yourself kidnapped, raped, tortured, and/or killed simply for speaking Ukrainian in Ukraine, in the territories taken over by Russia. They are not only unashamed of it - they are proud. They are not confessing, they're bragging, and fellow russians are cheering them on.
that is how I (haha, let us say NORMALLY, though the war must not be a part of daily routine), again, NORMALLY live, and honestly, it is nothing comparing to the eastern part of Ukraine.
I just want you to know ruzzians try to kill us while yer tolerating em all year by year.
цю частину тексту я пишу лише для українців: тримайтеся, тримайтеся далі, тримайтеся, як на початку, щоб побачити кінець геноциду української держави.
art is political.

At the beginning of the war, I migrated to Kyiv region from Kyiv city. There I heard (probably Chechens') weapons shooting every day and every night. If two important bridges were not destroyed by Ukrainian militarizes (it was necessary to NOT let r*ssian murderers move further), me and my family could be killed by those awful terrorists.
Behind my back, people had been dying until all the region and city were finally freed. I slept peacefully while innocent citizens from many regions of the country (including CHILDREN and TEENAGERS) died at the hands of these bastards.
I still can die in any moment. Everyone in Ukraine can die in a few minutes. I know Tumbler is full of American, Australian, British, European and Chinese users. Trust us and believe in us. We are people, who have been crying for help for centuries. We were wasted and almost yielded. We were r*ssified for generations and terrorized by communists from r*ssia, they kept and keep many countries under control and in fear. They threaten the Baltic countries, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Poland and even Finland. Remember what happened to Finland when the US and Britain refused to help them in the Finnish war: the Finns were forced to give a tenth of the country to a bastard named Stalin. Have a look at Moldova! The separatist region "Transnistria" was formed there. They eat p*tin's gas, BUT Moldova has to pay (so yeah, there is no separate state, it is just a scam and separatism). Northern Kazakhstan also causes unrest in the people due to the risk of separatism. Look what they did to Georgia! I have a Georgian neighbor, she suffered this with her family from monsters from r*ssia. r*ssians are directly involved in all eastern wars, crises in Africa, and enough separatist regions are caused by them.
Now, we will not be keeping silence and the terrorists cannot keep our mouths shut anymore. Do not let Ukraine yield. If Ukraine loses the war, r*ssian cattle will start wars in other European countries. Stop being polite, tolerant and respectful to those, who hate you. I understand r*ssian language very good, and I often see what kind of shit they spread about US, UK, Europe and even China. "Stupid capitalistic Americans who will be destroyed by their duce", "Anglo-Saxons" (YES, they call ye, my British pals, ANGLO-SAXONS), "ever freezing poor stinky Europe" and "ching cheng kan chi hahaha stupid Chinese" - that is what they think about ye all. But I still see pure idiots from these very states, which still tolerate "good brutal beautiful r*ssians".
I beg you, foreigners, come to your senses.
Wanna see how Russians hunted civilian cars in Kyiv region in March 2022?
Surreal now that it was all happening some 15 km from where I lived and I followed the local chats crying that "People, don't evacuate by the road leading to Zhytomyrska highway! Russians are hiding among trees off road there and shooting down civilian cars!!" in real time - and now I can actually see it happening on recovered footage from street cameras. Surreal.
The first terrorist attack on Mariupol by russians was the 24 of January 2015
russian "soldiers" did it by multiple launch rocket system GRAD
One year ago we thought that day was the scariest that could happened with civilians...
We was so wrong
russians are an exceptional case of minor in their mentality citizens of great in it’s size empire. given their attitude, it’s absolutely embarrassing to even call em people. in Ukrainian worldview, to be called person is to be conscious of your own actions, aware of basic principles of your own freedom, respect each and everyone’s personal boundaries (and country borders, if such is the case, tho :] ). this set of values it the bare minimum for self-respecting and self-worthy human being. russians will barely tick one of the boxes. and barely’s already exaggerated word for whatevs their outlook is
ukraine may be fighting the biggest modern empire in the world that wants to take its colony back to oppress and subjugate its people and culture as it has been for CENTURIES but that still not anti-imperialistic enough for some people

Every time I hear about Trump "Making America Great Again", all I can think about is that quote about Putin "Lifting Russia from it's knees" where the joke goes:
~"Putin lifted Russia up from it's knees... just to put it on all fours"
Same vibe honestly. Cus I feel like Trump is doing something artistically similar with America, or at least taking inspiration.
Sadly yes. Also russians killing endangered animals in nature reserves and posing with their "hunting trophies"... I wish i was making it up... Anywhere an agressive imperialist barbarian goes... he doesn`t respect humans, so why should he respect nature?
As well as intense human suffering, Russia’s attack has had a catastrophic effect on the environment. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), more than 3m hectares of forest have been affected, including 1m hectares in protected areas. Russian troops have dug trenches, felled trees and planted countless mines. Fires caused by shells have increased CO2 emissions. Giant clouds of smoke can be seen billowing next to a 600-mile-long frontline.
Some of this destruction is accidental. But there have also been extraordinary acts of large-scale Russian sabotage. In June 2023 the Russian military blew up the Kakhovka reservoir to thwart a Ukrainian counter-offensive. The explosion released more than 14 cubic kilometres (14tn litres) of water, flooded dozens of settlements downstream and killed at least 35 people. Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said it was a “deliberate and calculated crime”.
The flood killed animals and swept away a fish farm that was trying to restore endangered sturgeon to the Dnipro River. Unique species were lost. In August 2024 there was another ecological disaster when suspected Russian soldiers dumped chemicals from the Russian border village of Tyotkino into the Seym River. The pollution crossed the international border nearby and made its way into Ukraine’s north-eastern Sumy region. The Seym’s ecosystem crashed.
Ukrainians agree that the damage caused by Russia to the environment cannot be easily fixed. Dr Bohdan Vykhor, the executive director of WWF Ukraine, said: “We have lost some parts of nature for ever. It’s impossible to return. It’s objective reality, unfortunately.” Vykhor said it would take many decades and “tremendous effort” to de-mine Ukraine, one of the most densely mined countries in the world. “Until fighting stops, we can’t begin. It’s dangerous,” he said.
The war has destroyed many important habitats for wildlife. Several rare species have suffered, including the red-listed marbled polecat. The Kakhovka flood washed away its breeding areas, Vykhor said, adding: “We can’t say if these creatures still exist in Ukraine.” Meanwhile, Russian soldiers have built military camps on coastal reserves and crucial wetlands used by birds along the Black Sea. The elusive black stork has changed its spring migration route, Vykhor said.
Why would a country that was just attacked 3 years ago (11 actually), be the one to give up having any military defence?🤔 Why SHOULD a country that was just attacked by an agressor (that is still in power), be the one to give up any military defence? To not be a threat? To not be a threat to who? An agressor? An abuser? An opressor? God forbid you have any ability to fight back or pose any threat to the attacker.
sO putin agreed to possible ceasfire... but the rules are that Ukraine can't: - do moblization - do training - receive weapons during that ceasfire... 🤔 Huh... So its "We are at peace... but you have to be in a MAX vulnerable and unpreperred position in case i (defintely dont) attack you again" "We are at peace... but i don`t trust you to have any ability or resource to defend yourself... It`s a danger to me (In a case where i attack you)"
"I will stop hitting you... but you have to put down the pepper spray, you cant hold it in your hand... and you cant keep keys in your pocket either. No you cant go to self defence or the gym. No you cant get stuff from your friends either, why would you need to... In fact you cant own a pepper sparay at all, you wouldn`t need it"

This is the first video from this guy i ever saw, and he put my thoughts as a Ukrainian into words SO neatly. Every word. As they say: "Ні додати, ні відняти".
People from the outside sometimes tell us to concede those lands, that Ukraine should sacrifice them or make a compromise. But that is not that easy when those lands in questione are not just pieces of teritory in Hoi4 but instead... someones home someones childhood someones life someones city they had to leave behind Imagine how betrayed you would feel if you were told that your home/street/city that you fleed, should be given up as some kind of sacrifice or exchange to those that came to destroy it, conceded like a resource in a game to appease
kind of weird how parts of your soul are left in various locations without any warning… like yes i’m always at the top of that hill, sitting at the bus stop, in the cool light of the Japanese restaurant, standing at the pier etc etc
This is my dad. Volodymyr Torbynsky, who died on January 15, 2025. He was 55. He died defending Ukraine from russian invaders. russians killed him. Please, remember him. He is a hero.
Thank you all for your support, kind words and help. I really appreciate it.
p.s. Remember that the war is not over. Remember everyone, who fought for their country. Remember the price. The daily price of our freedom.
russia is a terrorist state.
You can support my mom and me here: pp [email protected] Thank you.
I‘m so tired. I usually draw silly stuff to distract myself from current events but—
Sounds ridiculous, right? Hah. Just how it feels.
I might even pin this just because. Yes.
Me and my friends are really tired from seeing shit like this, so here’s simplest explanation to (almost) every popular agrument and answer to it.
Starting with definition. Xenophobia = hate for something foreign just because it is foreign. We DO NOT hate russians just because they're russians.
(Litteraly the day I wrote this thread on Twitter it was another missile attack in the morning)
To put it plane and simple: russians and everything russia related aren't bad for just being russian: russians and everything russia related are bad because they destroying our lifes, cities, kill, rape, stole, occupy, torture and etc.
"But not every russian is related to military! Most of them against war!"
Oh? Really?
But even without numbers: you need to understand that more often so-called anti war russians are just ignorant to what their country doing. Be against war isn't about just words and position - it's about proving your position action. And by taking none since 2014, russians made it clear that they're okay with war.
"Anti war" russians most likely still paying taxes, and those money lately goes to army. "Anti war" russians, again, didn't do anything to stop war. Hell, most of liberal russians are direct imperialists.
So, if you see russian online and even if they're proclame themselves to be antiwar, in 99% cases they aren't.
Also, I simplifying most of things to better understanding, but you also need to know that without context of East Europe\russia-Ukraine conflict history a lot of imperialistic russian shit can pass though your ears. Just be aware of it.
"But how can they do anything against in such authoritarian country!"
Let's head back to simple math. According to russian sources, there was almost 15k detained (note: detained =\= convicted) for anti-war actions.
It all may sound scary... Until you look at looses of ru army.
So it is MUCH more safer in russia to be anti-war that is to be pro-war. Does it bother russians? Not at all.
and don't get me started on how lame it is for country with 144 million population to be afraid of abvously much lesser police force)
***
Ukranians don't hate russians for being russians. Ukranians hate russians for being bloodthursty, ignorant mass who actively support war and\or don't do a shit to stop it.
Most russians, even "good" ones - likely a war supporter. Yes, they may not a straight forward z-one, but almost 100% an ignorant person who supports war by their money and absence of action against it.
We, Ukranians, have neither the strength nor the desire to look for a needle in our son's haystack.
Keep it in mind and please, do not get into conflicts, the nature and context of which you do not understand. Thanks for reading.
P.S Also there's a really good thread on Twitter that looks over this as a question of basic empathy, so please read it as well.
P.S.S And feel free to ask questions.
