ok so the sotw prompt this week is a nightmare for lunar sooooo- here’s my submission! Tried a new style a bit but had fun!

I drew quite a bit more than I thought, though I didn't have much for June or October that I liked. July and December definitely had the most drawings, July because of Art Fight and December due to my interest in sams/laes regrowing.

July and December had my favorite pieces (hence why December has three pieces, I couldnt just choose one </3), and I noticed I need to work on backgrounds more ^^' They're such a pain, but I really like the ones with backgrounds more than the ones without.

I don't have any new years art to share, but I do have my last drawing of 2024 ^^

It has been done, Star got an upgrade, and a backstory finally! I actually love this new design for her so much, she's my silly little guy and I adore her. 3rd outfit and her lore will be blow

Originally created to be an assistant for Sun and Moon, Protostar was never finished and was instead left to sit in the basement under the daycare. One day, she got turned online (not sure how yet) and upon noticing her unfinished body, she began taking things from the daycare in attempts to fix herself. She tried not to do it too often in hopes to go unnoticed, but she failed at that and Sun noticed things going missing. Eventually, he caught her in the act and introduced her to Moon so that she could get fixed. Sun and Moon help fix her, and she eventually gets adopted into the family. She's a child and views Dazzle as a younger sister, and Jack as a cousin. I'm not sure when this would happen in the timeline though ^^'

Additional information:

• Her default/most commonly worn outfit is her dress! The red wrist wraps and leg warmers were a gift from Sun, and she always wears the wrist wraps, they're just not visible on her other outfit due to the long sleeves.

• She constantly looks like she's crying, she's not. You can definitely tell when she is crying though.

• Probably about the same height and mental age as Jack

• Protostar can't help out as an employee in the daycare, but she will often go with to the daycare and play with the kids there. She's able to play with them a lot more than Earth, Lunar, or Sun since she doesn't have to worry about any other daycare attendant duties (cleaning up messes/injuries, coming up with activities, etc)

• She knows magic! Not a whole lot, but enough to hopefully help her in case of small emergencies. She learned from Sun after nonstop begging him to teach her so that she could protect her family. While Sun didn't want her to have to worry about that and was skeptical at first, he eventually gave in since he thought it would be a good idea for her to be able to defend herself if she was alone.

• A few nicknames; Protos, Proto, Star, Stardrop

• The name Protostar comes from the same word, which is the name for baby stars

A silly little child, nothing bad could ever happen to her, right? Right..?

I finally finished the stickers and I had so much fun drawing them all. I actually love them so much, I can't even pick favorites because it'd just be all of them

I may make more in the future, but for now I'm pretty satisfied c:

Today's laes HURT. I mean I was expecting the outcome but it doesn't mean I was prepared

Jack sounded so scared and in pain, and the shock in his voice when Solar told him to stop fighting it and just give in. And then the shock from Solar when Jack called the creator father-

Solar telling Jack that it's ok and he'll forgive Jack for hurting him because he knows Jack doesn't mean it- "It's ok Jack, I'll forgive you" How could you do that, that HURT!

And it was mentioned in a recent video that Jack was working on a gift for Solar, I NEED to see Solar stumble upon that gift, the final cherry on top of the angst pile. Solar finding the gift while Jack is stuck under the creators control definitely would make for an emotional moment

Im making stickers of some sams/laes/eaps characters, so far I've finished 6 but I think I'll wait to share them till I've finished them all so they can go in one post. I've been having a lot of fun with them c:

I've been rewatching the Sun and Moon Show lately, and just got past the arc where Sun tries to kill Eclipse after killing Bloodmoon, which means it's fresh on my mind. With the recent episodes posted today on tsams and tlaes- I don't know, it all seems familar... I mean..

• Sun attempts to kill Eclipse so that he can feel useful and help his brother who he thinks has done so much for him that now it's time for him to do something in return

• Solar attempts to kill the Creator so that he can protect his family and help them get rid of a nuisance who's been plaguing them for a long time now because he thinks they've been through enough already and shouldn't have to shoulder dealing with the Creator too

• Sun fails to kill Eclipse and instead puts Moon's life in danger. Moon ends up dying later partially in cause to Sun's actions taken while trying to kill Eclipse

• Solar succeeds in killing the Creator only for him to be revived and swear vengeance on the entire celestial family, meaning they're all in danger

Well, they do say history repeats itself.

I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that all it took was a toolbox. A toolbox of all things. Imagine being elusive for years, I think he started(?) the creator council, survived Ruin's creator purge, tormented his creations for years while they were unable to stop him, and Solar just strolled on in with a toolbox and clobbered him to death. I mean yeah the creator came back but still, I find it pretty hilarious that all it took was a toolbox.

In reference to yesterday's Lunar and Earth Show episode, I got inspired to draw a Doedrop poster!

I put a star on the candy because the word dazzle reminds me of shiny things, and the best way I could think of to convey shiny was with a sparkly little star! ^^

This piece of fanart is my favorite for a couple reasons; it's the first piece of fanart I ever drew for the Sun and Moon Show, and, it got featured on the Sun and Moon Show for a fanart reaction video. I recently decided to redraw it, and I had quite a lot of fun with it. (Left is the redraw and right is the original image from 2022)

I haven't been keeping up as much with the LAES, but I adore Earth and Dazzle, plus Pollux and Nebula seem interesting too! Below I tried to write a note for each of the characters I drew:

• I find Earth's desire to help and be there for her family, as well as her ability to set boundaries when necessary, to be admirable traits of hers. Her recent development of chronic pain sounds interesting too, and I'm curious to see how she learns to re-navigate the world and adapt to her situation. Apparently, the recent episode where she makes her promise with Sun was a big deal and some people didn't support it, but Earth has ever reason to do what she did. Between the betrayal of learning the truth behind her father, Nexus' descent into madness, and Lunar's spontaneous attack, it's no wonder she'd feel some rocky trust to those around her. The current Moon who's around isn't even the Moon she grew to know, and it'll take time for her to understand him and trust him to the same level as the rest of her family, and she mentioned in the video too that she was thinking of making the same promise with Solar. Even if she doesn't go through with that promise to Solar, Sun being the first, and possibly only, person she makes that promise to makes sense. Sun is, if I remember correctly, the first member of the family she met, it wasn't even Nexus. It's not that she doesn't trust her family any less, but she trusted Lunar to not hurt her, she trusted Nexus to not hurt her, she trusted her father to not hurt her, and look at what happened. She has every right to be wary right now, and her decision to make that promise to Sun is completely valid.

• Dazzle has easily been a favorite of mine since she's been introduced, and I don't think she'll ever lose that placement. Her naivety, backstory, childish behaviors, and unconditional love/care just make her too hard not to love. One of the videos featuring her that's at the top of my mind lately is her comforting Sun after Nexus' death. She doesn't fully understand why Sun is hurt, or what about him is hurt, but she tries so hard to make him feel better in all the ways that help her. I can't even put into words how much I love that episode. The episode where she meets the beast is also sticking out to me. It's both sweet and heartbreaking her situation with Neptor. Like I said, I haven't been keeping up as much as I'd like with the LAES, but I believe at that point she had been informed of Neptor's death, yet she doesn't seem to understand what that means, and it makes sense! She talks to Neptor like he's still alive, and even says that if she could live in the walls of the Daycare for so long, then of course Neptor must be living in the ground. Of course we know that's not true, but her logic makes sense from her pov and I like that, as heartbreaking as it is to watch though </3 And her worry for the beast, she wasn't scared of it or even had a thought that it might hurt her, instead she was worried if it was ok and if it was hurt. I just love her character so much and whether she gets reunited with her father and stays with him, or she stays with the celestial family, or some kind of compromise between the two happens, I wish the best for her.

• I'm not as familiar with Pollux and Nebula, which feels bad to say, so I sadly don't have much to say about them, but I'm certain they're just as wonderful of characters that I would like to go back and learn more about.

Kat, I think your story telling is lovely, and I adore the characters you voice act. I'm sorry that people in the community can't see that and decided to hurt you, you and all the other female voice actors don't deserve it. Whatever happens next, thank you for your contribution to the story and the patience you had with this community to hold your ground this long. <3

To save from any confusion I wanted to mention that the character featured in all four drawings is my own, Star. She's a bit of a self-insert that I wanted to use to express my support, I hope that's alright.

I'm Done Writing For LAE

I've written for LAE for a while now, even when I have 3 other jobs and not a lot of time to dedicate to it. But apparently all that time and effort I put in just isn't good enough.

Every time I open Tumblr, read the YouTube comments, scroll through TikTok, and sometimes even on the TSBS fan discord, I'm welcomed by people saying how shit my writing is, how shit my characters are, or how much they dislike xyz.

This isn't me wanting sympathy, or to guilt trip you. Though I'm fully expecting people to say I am. I just want to let you know; I'm done. I'm not writing any more episodes or interacting with the community in any way. I've tried. It's clearly not good for my mental health. So I'm done.

This isn't me saying I'm done voice acting or anything, I'm still going to be Earth/Pollux/Dazzle, I just won't be writing what will be happening to them anymore.

I put my heart and soul into these characters and their stories, but apparently that's just another way to get hurt.

If you have questions about TSBS, don't send them to me. I'll only answer/interact with questions/posts about my own series/channel.

The amount of overwhelming censory on discord server doesn't make any sense cuz they willing to show on youtube characters usually killing people on daily basis and Ruin telling he's a masohist(not in details but still) but the moment someone will draw a bit too much blood its drawing a line on discord???? Or when i show a screenshout from their own vids????

The fact they also don't let artists leave ANYthing to show from which acc they came from is INSANE.

I’d imagine sun and moon would be really good at carving pumpkins since they would probably do it as an activity at the daycare (before the whole October take overs)

Ok, right now I have 2 things I'm obsessed with, TSBS and Epic the Musical. However, my brain can't decide who would be who. My brain started this with God Games, the original roles were:

Apollo: Sun

Hephaestus: Solar

Aphrodite: Earth

Ares: Eclipse

Hera: Moon

Zeus: Lunar

Lunar would be Zeus just for his lighting powers, but I don't think it fits very well with who Lunar is. Solar is Hephaestus because he is a handyman (I think that's what they call people who can do multiple jobs like: carpenter, electrician, programmer, etc.) and because I think Hephaestus lines go well with his story.

At first I thought Eclipse would be a good character for the role of Ares but then I remembered Bloodmoon and it makes a bit more sense because of his want/need of blood but I can only see Eclipse making a duo with Earth.

Then comes Earth, I don't think Aphrodite's dialogue fits her, after all, Earth tries to not be resentful or hate someone. That's how my brain said:-"Then put Roxanne Wolf in Aphrodite's part", and it made sense but that would make a weird duo even if it is Bloodmoon or Eclipse, not to mention that it would ruin the purpose of using just the Celestial Family.

As for Moon .... I don't know, it doesn't feel right but it doesn't feel wrong either. Once I thought about putting Sun has Hera because of his drinking era and in most animation you could see Hera drinking wine.

I saw someone make an animation of God Games and the Celestial Family but with their evil versions and it made a lot of sense but I want to use the normal family and my brain can't think of anything else and I hate being stuck or changing character mid song, I just can't decide, if anyone sees this, I would like to know your opinion, please help.

Okay, I don't do this a lot, interaction and all but seen this too often, so I can see the whole lunar side of this, makes narrative sense, sure, and if sun was to get in-between that and help, also makes sense, but just the consistent insistence that sun isn't important or won't do anything important, just feels strange, he's been relevant, sure maybe not this big role in the eclipse arc but he's be there and has been doing his own thing for a good bit now with friends either on main or different channles, he's shown to be completely okay with not being so involved, feels like he wants to let the situation be handled and step in when he knows he can, to keep tabs, I don't think he feels useless, he feels exhausted, and he understands there's only so much can do, he's said as much and supports moon and others as much as he can, to be the straight man to moon if need be or help lunar or earth or foxy, he can help people and knows thats what's in his ability, he wants peace and that's it, all it's ever been, his main issue is his anxiety and general stress problems from everything as anyone would be, nothing anywhere near suicidal or even to act reckless, hell, seems he's make sure to be the most to keep himself and others in check, and even with all that, his friends have not let him be alone, even if he doesn't want the company, he has been reminded time and time again he's supported and they want him to feel valuable and to get help for himself, he's just stubborn but he's said himself he's reconsidering looking for more personal help and I trust him to try, he's not on the god damn edge of a cliff, more like the edge of a table at best, he's not useless, he's working within his own means and what he can control and that's the best he knows he can do and will offer to do

Who is betting that this time it'll be Lunar who will try to kill Eclipse?

Me! I'm betting on this.

Even if I'd love for Sun to stop Lunar from doing this.. I highly doubt it'll happen. They made Moon considering on not killing Eclipse!

So I think that we're going back to first theory I had. Sun won't do anything significant in this arc. It'll only reinforce his feelings of uselessness and well.. like I said Sun may try to commit suicide..

Anyway I'm curious to see what will happen. But at the same time I'm anxious about all of this.
