A woman who has had breast augmentation surgery cannot breastfeed Not true! Most do very well. There is no evidence that breastfeeding with silicone implants is harmful to the baby. Occasionally this operation is done through the areola. These women do often have problems with milk supply, as does any woman who has an incision around the areolar line.

If the operation was done by a cut under the breast with the implant then inserted, it is much better than the operation where the cut is done through the areola. When done through the areola, nerves are cut and the letdown will be affected.
