Sorry, but this man does NOT care about Valentine's Day

Maybe aside for sales in shops

So yeah, don't expect something romantic from him

If you don't feel like celebrating, then both of you just spend this day like any other day

If this holiday is special for you, then you have to talk to Saitama and explain to him that you want to do something romantic

He doesn't understand why would you need some holiday to do lovey-dovey stuff with your partner when being in a relationship implies doing that from time to time

Saitama isn't someone who loves going into fancy places and doing all too sweet couples stuff

(+ spending money on all of this)

And you know that

So both of you find a compromise: taking a walk in the park and then eating out in a cozy café that you both like so much or cooking delicious dinner together at home

The rest of the evening you spend watching TV together

Though your activity was interrupted once by a door ring

When both of you open the door, you see only a small, but beautiful bouquet of flowers and chocolates in a heart shaped box

It's signed "For Y/N💘"

You excitedly thank Saitama and both of you return to the TV

Saitama can't help but steal a few glances at you, admiring your beaming face

Later, he will need to thank Genos for helping out with a surprise for you

After all, it would be rude of Saitama not to gift you something when you gave him a box of chocolates in the morning, wouldn't be?

Even though Genos is inexperienced in relationships, you better believe that he prepares for this day

Firstly, he will ask you in advance your plans on this holiday and if you would like to celebrate it

If you don't want to, then it's all okay

(but Genos still gets at least flowers and chocolates for you)

If you'd like to make this day special, be prepared for another questionnaire from your boyfriend

Do you want to go out? To go to some romantic place? What are the criteria of a romantic place? Are in a mood for something extravagant or simple and cozy? How many activities would you like to do? Outdoor or indoor? Both?

You stop Genos and say that what matters is that you both spend time together

But if you have something specific in mind, your boyfriend will be only happy to comply

If you want Genos to surprise you, he will arrange that!

Thanks to his attentiveness and perseverance, he comes up with a great plan how to spend Valentine's Day together

Please forgive me, but I'm not going to tell you how exactly your day goes because!!!

Genos makes sure to include everything that you like (or might like) so you both enjoy your time together

So yeah, you can say that both of you celebrate the holiday like you want to

All I can add is that Genos gets you a box of chocolates, bouquet of flowers or strawberry covered in chocolate, and a note with a handwritten speech of how much he loves and values you

Speaking of gifts, S-class hero receives tons of letters with hearts from his fans

But there is only one that he accepts

Yes, Genos pays attention only to your gift

And it doesn't really matter to him what you give: a pair of socks, a valentine, chocolates that you made, heck, even a rock

He will be grateful for any gift and will keep it for himself like it's something sacred

Sonic is actually excited for Valentine's Day

He will spend the day with his precious girlfriend! Why wouldn't he be happy?

Moreover, not just a day, but a holiday devoted to couples

Meaning, to you and him as well

(the funny thing is that he didn't even care about Valentine's Day before he met you)

Since it's winter, Sonic can't make you a bouquet of flowers

But he can make a paper one!

I feel like he's good at origami and crafting, so he settles to a bouquet made of paper

And yeah, your boyfriend doesn't want to buy you a real one not because he doesn't want to spend money on you, but because he believes there's more soul in handmade gifts

He spent the night on making it

His heart melts when you receive the bouquet with that sweet smile of yours and in exchange give him a box of chocolates that you made

He looks so thrilled when he stares at the gift!!! <3

And of course Sonic immediately starts devouring chocolates, sharing them with you

Thankfully, he stops and saves some for later

After that, you both take a walk in the forest

If there is enough snow, you definitely play snowball fight, make angels and a big snowman

After a long, but lovely walk, you head back to home where the coziest part of the evening begins

In order to warm up, you make your favourite hot drinks with something sweet as a snack (your leftover chocolates, for example) and cuddle with a blanket draped over both of you

When you're done, you just chill for some time

Suddenly, Sonic suddenly stands and asks you to wait for him while he prepares dinner

You're quite surprised and intrigued

When you suggest your help, Sonic decisively declines, saying that he wants to make dinner for you by himself

And suggests you to take a nap / scroll through your social media / play games on your phone / read a book / have a shower / do something else

But you don't have to wait for long

Soon enough, Sonic appears with a proud smile and invites you in his kitchen

You're wowed when you enter the room and see how candles on the tables are the only thing that lights up the room

Speaking of table, you notice that it's served like in restaurants: white tablecloth covers the table, a vase with the paper bouquet stand right next to glasses with your favourite drink, cutlery is carefully placed between plates with silver cloches on them

As both of you sit down, Sonic takes off the cloches to reveal your favourite dish

Undoubtedly, your boyfriend excelled at preparing the meal and making a romantic date for both of you

The gleam in your eyes as you say how everything is amazing is more than enough for Sonic to know that he reached his main goal: make you happy

I feel like one might think this is OOC, but hey, that's how I see our tsundere boy (^３^)

I believe that when Garou was a child, he acted like Valentine's Day was for fools

But in reality, he low-key wanted someone to send him a valentine

(and was jealous of popular kids who would get tons of them)

When he got older, he didn't care about this holiday

Until he started dating you

Garou doesn't show it, but he expects something special in this day

But don't get me wrong, he's not looking for some cheesy couples stuff

Deep down, he hopes that you give him a valentine

He'll be happy even for a small one

So please, please, please make him one🙏

He acts like it's nothing, but it means a lot to him when you give him your valentine

And you know it by how he smirks at seeing "For my pookie <3" and doesn't comment to stop calling him that like he always does

And by stealing glances at your boyfriend when he rereads your love note with that childish smile of his

(he thinks you don't notice it)

Don't think that Garou didn't prepare anything for you

He actually spends a lot of time thinking about what he could do for you

Buy flowers and chocolates for you? Nah, that's too cheesy for him

Make a valentine or craft something? Nope, he doesn't have the needed skill

(he actually has, but poor boy is self-conscious)

(spoiler: he definitely makes you valentines for the next years)

Cook something for you? Pass, he isn't a great cooker

Steal your favourite food from the restaurant or store? There is no way in hell you'd appreciate that

And the last thing he wants is to disappoint you

Maybe he should get you a little present like a plushie or perfume or..? Good idea, but Garou wants to put soul into his present for you

Huh, soul...

Your boyfriend takes your hand and starts leading you somewhere, saying that he wants to take you somewhere special

You follow him, being interested in what he has to show

It takes time to get there, but Garou promises it's worth it

If you feel tired, he will give you a piggyback ride or carry in his arms

When both of you get to the place, you're amazed at the opened view before you

It's a tall, frozen waterfall covered with snow

Truly a magnificent sight

Garou tells you it's a special spot that Bang once showed him

And that he usually comes here to clear his mind

He attentively examines your reaction to see if you like the surprise

Your boyfriend is kinda scared that you won't appreciate it and that he should have got you something material

But, judging by how your eyes light up and the corners of your lips curl up, you're more than satisfied

After chilling near the waterfall, you both head back to your house and have dinner that you kindly cooked

Usually, Metal Bat spends Valentine's Day with his sister, taking her to the amusement part or somewhere else

But his plans change when you appear in his life

Now he's looking forward to spending time with only you

Especially on a day like this

You and Zenko spend the morning on cooking chocolates or cookies for Badd meanwhile he is asleep

When he gets his homemade sweets from both of you, he melts and takes pleasure in savoring the chocolates

Duh, of course he loves it since his favourite girls made this for him!!

Unfortunately, the sweet morning bliss gets interrupted by a call from HA, telling about a nearby monster attack

And according to Murphy's law, Metal Bat is the closest hero available

Thankfully, it's a wolf-level monster, so S-class hero shouldn't have a problem with that

Badd promises you to be quick

And so he does

When he turns back, two big bouquets of flowers can be seen in his hands

One with roses is for Zenko

And the other (bigger) one with your favourite flowers is for you

You and Zenko thank Badd and start preparing yourselves for going out to the mall

Meanwhile, Metal Bat waits for both of you, eating his chocolates

When you're all ready, you go to some shopping spree or other small activities

Zenko has no problem with spending her brother's money on every item she likes

In contrast to her, you're humble even if your boyfriend is ready to buy you anything you want

He WANTS to spoil you badly

There is one item that piqued your interested though

But, unfortunately, it's expensive, and you decide to just move on with the shopping

After Zenko gets exhausted, the three of you eat out in a café

When you're finished, you see Zenko off her friend's home

And finally, you and Badd can spend time together alone

Moreover, it's just the two of you until the next day as Badd's sister is staying overnight at her friend's place

Your boyfriend doesn't really have plans on what to do, so he's eager to follow you

All he wants is to be with you and make you happy

If you want to just chill at home, Metal Bat is totally fine with that!

If you wanna take the most of the evening, that's great, let's go!

But no matter what, Badd somehow manages to pull that very thing that you wanted earlier out of his pocket and gift it to you with his valentine

You don't know how and when he prepared this, so it really surprises you

Grinning proudly, Badd watches how you enthusiastically thank him and proceed to unwrap your present and read his valentine

Little does your boyfriend know that a small surprise from you is awaiting him

But at home

Later in the evening, when you're cuddling with Badd on the sofa, you suddenly remember that his mailbox is practically breaking apart from fan letters and tell your beloved hero to check it

Badd furrows his brows and tells you that he would rather to continue cuddling with you

But you insist on your own

Finally, your stubbornness wins and Metal Bat hesitantly complies

He starts reading through his fan mail

Even though your boyfriend seems annoyed, you know that deep down he's pleased to read these letters

His expression suddenly turns into a surprised one and he looks at you

Ah, he finally gets to your surprise

You were quite puzzled to what you should give Badd on Valentine's Day

He didn't really need anything nor wanted to obtain

And you knew that he would appreciate any gift from you

Especially handmade one

So you settled with a valentine and a bunch of photos of both of you

When Badd finishes examining your present for him, he tells he's grateful for it

And the shimmering glimmer of tears in his eyes proves his appreciation

Valentine's Day is a painful topic for Amai Mask

No, not in a meaning that he once got his heart broken, or he feels lonely

But in a meaning that he has to do immense amount of clipping, photo shooting and other stuff for his merch and for partners by this holiday

This doesn't change when you both got together

Beaut is overwhelmingly occupied with his work before Valentine's Day

You barely manage to keep in touch with each other due to his busy schedule

So you don't really know how you will spend the holiday

Will your boyfriend be engrossed in his work? Or he will find some time for you?

Fortunately, you get a call from Amai late night before the holiday

He says that he's finally free and will be happy talk to you

You both spend great time talking on the phone

You're perplexed whether you should bring up the topic of Valentine's Day

On one hand, your boyfriend made it quite clear that he doesn't even want to hear about anything regarding this day anymore

On the other, he's free for the whole day and says that he misses you

So it must mean that he's looking for spending time with you, right?

Swallowing, you ask him about his plans for tomorrow

"... I was actually hoping to spend it with you", Beaut finally speaks

You're relieved to hear that

You both agree to just chill at Amai's place away from everything

But!!! Your boyfriend tells you to bring one of your fancy outfits with yourself as he has something special planned for you in the evening

This definitely improves your mood

You wake up feeling excited about the day

Not only because you're finally going to spend your time with Beaut and something particular is awaiting you tonight

But also because you're eager to realize your surprise for him

You spent a lot of time thinking on what you should get Amai

He has everything he needs

And gets a lot of stuff from his fans and important events

In addition, you're not sure how he feels about handmade gifts

But you for sure know that he values thoughtful gestures towards him

That's why you decided to make him breakfast

Amai Mask is probably going to sleep, a lot despite being an early bird

Plus, he probably will order food instead of cooking due to his exhaustion

So you have to make sure to cook everything before he wakes up

Thankfully, you manage to get to his place unnoticed and before he wakes up

And just like that, you started making breakfast

After some time, you hear how your boyfriend goes to bathroom and follows his morning routine

Beaut is quite pleased to see you when he enters his kitchen

You tell him to get settled because you're almost finished cooking

No complaints from him

He absolutely loves the food you made

He doesn't say it, but it means a lot to him

But of course you know it ;)

After having breakfast, you both just chill together, talking about anything, cuddling and definitely taking jacuzzi together

When evening comes, you get dressed, and a limo takes you... somewhere

Sweet Mask still doesn't tell you what you're going to do

When you arrive, you see that you're in front of that specific luxurious restaurant that you badly wanted to visit and that requires booking at least half of a year in advance

Amai only smirks at your impressed face

Moreover, you come here to try the famous tasting menu of your favourite cuisine!

I believe that it's obvious enough that you totally love the food and have great time with your boyfriend😌

I don't want to disappoint you, but Flashy Flash simply forgets about Valentine's Day

He notices that there is some commotion about this day in shops, but doesn't get into it

He has other things to deal with

When you ask him how you're going to spend the day together, Flash doesn't really understand your question

"Like usual," he says and goes to his hero patrol

While he's on his work, he can't help but return to your conversation

And replay the moment how your eyes lose their sparkle when you hear his answer and mumble something like "I thought we could do something romantic and spend time together today..."

Why would you want that out of sudden?

No, of course when you're in a relationship, you want to be with your partner as much as possible

But Flash has his hero work

Both of you know it

And that's why you plan dates in advance

You're always understanding when your date gets postponed

But why you seemed so heartbroken today?

Did you want to spend time with your boyfriend that badly?

It's not like Flash doesn't want to go on a date with you

But you both went out just a few days ago

When Flash takes care of some Tiger-level monster without breaking a sweat, he walks down the streets and notices how everyone is in some holiday mood

He can see heart pattern on almost every store, billboard, food truck...

Something is off

Soon enough, Flash notices a display ad that says "50% sale for your other half! Make a surprise for your pair in day of love!"

Day of love?

...

Oh

When your boyfriend goes off to his work, a few tears stream down your face

You don't even notice it until you feel wetness on your cheeks

Wiping away your tears, you try to calm yourself down

You feel like an idiot who hoped that Flash would care about Valentine's Day

You clench your fists for a couple of times and reach for a valentine that was in the pocket

Your hands almost start tearing apart the gift as you remember how you put your soul into it

You stop

No, it wasn't idiotic of you to make something cute for a person you love

You know that Flash struggles with showing his affectionate side

That's why he's always ready to listen to you if he makes you upset somehow

So maybe he didn't mean to brush you off like that?

Maybe he didn't realise how important this day is for you?

Or he had an emergency at work and had to quickly go?

Yes, you should just wait for your boyfriend and talk to him

And you will sort everything out like you always do

You decide to chill for now

But no matter what you do, you get reminded of Valentine's Day practically everywhere

Because of that, unpleasant thoughts start running through your head

What if Flash is out for a whole day?

What if he never understands the meaning of Valentine's Day, even when you explain to him the importance of the date?

Are you really going to spend the holiday alone?

Ugh, other couples are so happy together...

All your worries disappear once you hear a door opening and your boyfriend standing there with your favourite take out

He apologizes and tells you that it totally slipped off his mind what holiday today was

And he didn't mean to brush you off

So he's ready to spend the rest of the day with you

Of course, you forgive him and finally give him the valentine

After reading it, Flash pats your head with a small smile on his face

You already know that it's his way of showing gratitude

You happily eat together and then take a relaxing bath

Flashy even gives you a nice massage

Maybe this day didn't start how you wanted to, but everything went well in the end✨

Just like others, Zombieman didn't pay much attention to Valentine's Day

But when he gets into relationship with you, his opinion regarding this holiday drastically changes

He wants to spend the day with you and do something special

If you don't feel like it, he is okay with just chilling at home

If you're as excited as he is, then he has another reason to do his best to plan the holiday

Zombieman is quite puzzled with choosing an activity to do

He tries to remember what place you wanted to check out, but nothing comes out in his mind

Not because he doesn't listen to you, but because you didn't even mention anything in your conversations

If you did, then he has no trouble with remembering it and taking you there on Valentine's Day

But let's imagine that Zombieman has to do some brainstorming to come up with a prefect place for you to go

He tries to remember what you were excited about in past days, checks his chat with you, even surfs the Internet, reading different articles with compilations of unusual places to visit with a partner

Finally, an idea pops up in his mind

He hopes that you will like it

When you both meet each other on Valentine's Day, he gives you a bouquet of flowers and a box of your favourite sweets

You give him a valentine for him in return

It may be not so generous like his present for you, but your boyfriend really appreciates it

After that, both of you start going to that mysterious place he has picked

He doesn't tell you what is it until you reach it

Doesn't even give you any hints

When you reach your destination, you don't see any mansions that stand out

Zombieman takes you inside, and you find yourself in...

Zoo center with raccoons?

That's unexpected

S-class hero can't really read your reaction

Are you disappointed? Or too stunned to speak?

Crap, maybe he should have told you in advance

But when you excitedly clap your hands with a broad smile on your face, he signs in relief

Both of you have fun while playing with raccoons, feeding them and taking pictures of yourselves with these fluffy animals

(mostly, photos are of you because Zombieman couldn't pass an opportunity to capture your cuteness)

Unfortunately, he has to tell you that you can't adopt a raccoon, at least not now

Some time later, both of you head to the café

And spend the rest of the evening, cozily chatting with each other and sharing your impressions of the day

I believe that King always felt lonely on Valentine's Day as he never had someone to spend this holiday with

So he would just stay in his room and play Doki Doki Sisters, locked away from the world

When he became a hero and gained his popularity, he'd get valentines from his fans

But it still felt wrong

After all, these people admired him for the image they created, not for real him

However, when you become his girlfriend, he can finally make up for the all Valentine's Days he spent alone

And no, it doesn't mean that he is looking forward to doing all couples stuff that you see on the Internet

King still prefers to spend the holiday at home with you

And you're not against that

Though you two still go out and spend time at your favourite café in the day

King is happy to exchange the valentines with you

It's first time when he made it for someone

And the first time he gets a valentine from a person who cares about him and who he cares about in return

He smiles sheepishly as he reads the love note

I swear, he acts like a young boy whom a girl kissed on the cheek for the first time in his life

This dude is 29 years old, remember

After having lunch at the café, you go to King's place and play games together

If you also play Minecraft together, then you definitely find out that your boyfriend built a huge heart (or something cute like this) and customized your home in your shared world

Cuddles is a whole new level for Saitama to complete

He likes his personal space: to sit or lay in his favourite pose, to scratch his rear, pick his nose, etc.

But he can't do that while cuddling with you

But in reality, it's not so bad

Some time later, you notice that your boyfriend's approach to hugging you changed

As if he started putting more soul into it

They just were kinda... automatic? Like, a trigger happened and then Genos would embrace you as if following a programmed scenario

He doesn't really have preferences

Your comfort is all that matters to him

He'll warm you up or, vice versa, cool you down with his body if needed

If you had a hard day, he'd listen to you while giving you a massage

He'll also give you sudden kisses on your cheek, forehead, hair, neck, etc.

All in all, Genos is a perfect partner for cuddles and hugs

Just like that, you signed your death warrant

Sonic becomes your personal coala and doesn't miss an opportunity to wrap his arm around you

(he doesn't mind if you want be coala as well though)

He'll playfully squeeze you, tickle you, pepper your head with kisses, breathe in your scent, caress your curves, warm you up, and just enjoy your presence, whispering sweet nothings

Please do tell if it gets overbearing for you

Sonic will hate it if you suffer in silence because of him

The same thing goes to cuddles, obviously

He likes being both big and small spoon

Big because he feels like your personal protector (and pillow)

Small because, again, he wants to be pampered like a child

It really makes him feel loved when he's lying on top of you and you run your fingers through his hair

In one sentence, Sonic freaking LOVES hugging you and cuddling with you💕

You'll be the first to initiate hugs

And not just hugs that you give someone when you're greeting them

But a supporting, more meaningful one

You and Garou are just spending time together in the park, talking about everything

Feeling emotional and comfortable, you lean closer to your boyfriend and wrap your arms around him, sighing pleasantly

It makes him stop in the middle of the sentence and just stare at you dumbfounded, not knowing how to react and what to do

Garou has never been hugged before

Usually, if not always, when he gets physical with someone, it happens in a fight

Now he feels... warm and safe

Yeah, it's definitely better than being punched

Garou hesitantly hugs you back, still trying to get used to the feeling

When you start pulling away, he doesn't let go of you, tightening his grip on you

"Wait... Don't move, let's stay like this... at least for a little while, please," he whispers

And of course you don't protest

(you wanted to stop hugging your boyfriend because you were afraid you went too far in the first place, but seeing his reaction, you relax)

After that, you start hugging each other to show appreciation, support and love for each other

Garou gets a habit to hug you from behind and burry his face into the crook of your neck as you both stand in silence

It can mean two things: he's tired or overwhelmed and needs you to calm or reassure him

Or he's just showing his gratitude and love for you, basking in your presence

Of course, the same goes to you

Your boyfriend will always be happy to hold you in his arms when you need him

But don't get me wrong, you hug each other not only in moments of comfort

For example, when you both greet each other, you wrap your hand around Garou's neck as he places his on your lower back

(and lightly slapping your butt with another)

He also sometimes wraps his arm around you to make sure that you're here with him

This goes to especially when you're in crowded places and he's afraid you might get lost or worse

When your boyfriend feels silly, he likes to lift you up, carry you in bridal style, place you on his shoulder, supporting your legs, and even swirl you around him

Well, you catch the drift

(usually, it happens to show you his strength and just have fun)

Oh, and how could I forget to mention that he definitely swings his arm over you when you're both sitting on the couch/bench/etc.

Or he's sitting behind you on top of the bench/step with his arms around you and his chin on top of your head

He may seem as someone who is not a big fan of cuddles, but in reality, they bring him a sense of comfort as well

When you're cuddling on the sofa, your back pressed against his chest and his arms are encircling you like a protective shield or are gently caressing your curves

Usually, you're discussing different topics or just enjoying each other's presence in silence

When you're in bed, you lay your head on Garou's chest as his arms are around you (again)

If you're lying on one of your sides, of course your boyfriend's arm is draped over you and his face is nuzzled against your hair/neck

The main point is that hugs and cuddles with Garou are full of love and comfort🥰

Ooooh, this man loves hugs and cuddles

I believe he'll try to hug you on your first date, opening his arms broadly

And pull you into the bear hug

Metal Bat melts when he feels you squeeze him in return

After that, you both start a tradition of Badd scooping you in his arms when you meet each other

Sometimes you like to press your foreheads together and peck each other's lips

He likes to briefly hug you or wrap his arm around when he can

Standing in the queue? He puts his hands on your waist and places his chin in top of your head (if he's taller than you; if not, then nuzzles his face against your neck/back)

Feeling joyous? Please hug him, and he'll whirl you

You're anxious because of the crowded place? Badd is here to let you hug his arm or, again, take you under his wing

You always feel loved and secure in his arms

And Metal Bat loves holding you in his arms, patting your head, leaving soft kisses there and there, admiring your beauty, whispering compliments or just saying how much he loves you

He also likes to show off his strength and carries you in his arms/lifts you up

+ gives you piggybackrides!

Badd is really warm, by the way

In addition, his hugs feels like home, like all the worries and problems disappear

And cuddles too!

They're one of his favourite ways of spending time with you

Feeling your head resting on his chest and his hands stroking your back is a true heaven for him

Or vice versa, when he's really worn out or stressed from his hero work, he lays on top of you, burrying his face in your chest and feeling your fingers running through his hair in a soothing way

He lets you cling to him but doesn't wrap his arms around you or even put his hand on your side

Like I said, he's not fan of hugging and struggles with showing affection for you

Flashy doesn't want to hurt your feelings by pushing you away from him

That's why he prefers to just stand there like this🧍

Until you release him from your hug

S-class hero believes it's the best compromise

What he doesn't realise is that you start feeling like you're annoying your boyfriend

Or he doesn't even want to touch you...

This hurts

Soon Flash notices how corners of your lips curl downwards and your eyes seem to lose their light each time you hug him and pull away, not feeling any mutuality

After a while, you stop snuggling against him

For some reason, Flashy Flash doesn't like this at all

Gladly, you both talk it out

(you're quite surprised when your boyfriend brings up this issue in one of your conversations, as you thought he didn't care about that at all)

The next time you hug Flash, a muscular arm drops over your shoulder and caresses it in a soothing way

What amazes you more is that Flashy Flash even initiates semihugs

And who would know that the S-Class Rank 10 professional hero is clingy when it comes to cuddles?

No, of course he doesn't drop his serious façade and acts like he doesn't need this sort of affection

But the way he holds you tighter in bed and moves closer to you when you're both cuddling tells you otherwise

It'd be even funnier if he preferred being the small spoon

But, oh well, he likes to your protector

What else can I say?

Flashy Flashy may be not a professional hugger and cuddler, but he's not bad either😉

Zombieman actually likes hugging you

He'll be hesitant to pull you into his embrace because he'll be damned if he make you upset by doing something you're uncomfortable with

So he asks if he could hug you on one of your dates

And you happily let him do so

Later, Zombieman just opens his arms, silently inviting to his embrace, instead of asking

He also tends to do that as a way to greet you

Your boyfriend, being the gentleman he is, definitely puts his hand on your lower back or side when you're walking in public to make sure you don't get lost

And you, being the loving girlfriend you are, cling closer to him only to feel his grip gently tighten around you

Fun fact: even though he's a zombie and his body is cold, he can keep you warm in his embrace

He may come off as a serious professional hero who is not snuggly at all

Zombieman adores late-night evenings when both of you lay in bed and talk about anything, spooning each other

You live in a world where a monster attack can happen anywhere and at any time

It sounds terrifying, but that's a part of your and everyone else's life

The government with the Hero Association did a pretty good job at keeping civilians safe and sound

For example, you've never seen a real monster before, only on TV

And it's not like you have a goal of witnessing one in real life, but still

You always feel safe

Even now, when you're walking back home from watching a movie with your friends all pretty and preppy

Suddenly, you hear a woman's cry, "A-a-ah! Somebody, help! There is a monster, a-a-h!!"

Your heartbeat unimaginably increases

You freeze, not knowing what to do due to fear

Where is this woman? Why is there no alarm of a monster attack? Where are heroes? What do you do??

It feels like the woman is screaming right next to your ear, but you're all alone on the street – everyone else has already run away

You peek around the corner and see a woman at the end of the alley trapped between the monster and a wall

She has nowhere to run

And the monster? It's the same size as a regular human, looks like a normal man besides its leather, dark green skin, and huge claws

Wolf level threat, no more

But still terrifying

The monster doesn't know you're here, so you can use a chance to run past it unnoticed and leave the poor lady behind

Or you can help her somehow

Try to call the Hero Association? The monster will hear and kill you

Run away out and only then call them? It might be too late for that, the monster will kill this woman, and who knows when heroes will arrive

But on the other hand, it's not your fault she got into the trouble in the first place, right? And you don't owe anything to her

In fact, you actually are not obliged to help her

There is no shame in trying to save your own life

So yeah, it's better to just run

As you run past them, you suddenly stop yourself

No, you're not like this, you were raised differently

You'll help this woman, it's settled

It should take a good smack at the monster's head to knock it out

After that, you just have to run

You got this

Feeling determined and giving into an adrenaline rush, you take a metallic trash can lid and start quietly approaching the monster

It's focused on the woman, and the lady herself doesn't see you

You manage to quietly approach the monster and hit its head with all your strength, making the disgusting creature stumble and wince in pain

"Run! RUN!" you command the woman who doesn't waste a second and immediately starts running away with you

But as you're about to turn around the corner to get back on the street, you suddenly fall, feeling pain in the shin of your right leg

You try to stand up but fail

You look back and notice that monster somehow injured your leg

How? It wasn't even close to you

You look at the creature and see that not only did it get even bigger, but its eyes literally burned with anger, and a few sharp tentacles came out of his back

The monster approaches you, growling loudly

You scan the area to find something that can help you fight with monster

And for the first time in your life, you're grateful for drunk heads who leave their empty beer bottles on the streets

You grab the glass bottle and throw it directly at the monster's face

While the creature winces in pain, you try to make a run for it

But the only thing you can do is just pathetically crawl away

Meanwhile, the monster extends its arm to grab or attack you

You instinctively close your eyes

That's it

That's how you die

What a sad death

At least you saved that woman

...

Nothing happens

It's peaceful, quiet...

... or not

Suddenly you hear water splashing, something heavy falling... and heels clicking?

You open your eyes and find yourself in the same alley, lying on the ground

And the monster is gone?

What is left of it are big pieces and splashes of its blood

No way, you were saved!

But by whom?

"It's alright, you're safe now," you hear a man's voice next to you

You glance up and see S-class hero, Flashy Flash!

(the hero you worship so much)

"I... Thank you! You saved my life!!!"

He just nods and points to your injured leg, "Let me see it."

"Huh? Ah, yeah, sure..." you let your saver examine your wound

You're quite surprised to see this side of Flash

(and the hero himself too, of course)

As far as you're concerned, Flashy Flash is known for his stoic demeanor and immediate disappearing after defeating monsters

Quite the contrary of what you're witnessing now, to be exact

But maybe these are just rumors?

"It got near your nerve. Just a little bit more, and you'd practically lose your foot. You're lucky."

"And lucky enough to be saved by you, huh?"

He chuckles, "Yeah, lucky you."

Ah, his small smile... what a rare and adorable sight

He looks more humane with it

"Your smile really suits you. You should smile more," you comment, without thinking

Flash gives you a strict look, his smile drops

"I don't smile. I should take you to the hospital so they could treat your leg there."

With these words, he scoops you in his arms and starts carrying you to the hospital

(he doesn’t even look at you, his eyes are fixed on the road ahead of you)

As he steps out of the alley onto the street, his grip on you tightens

"Hold tight, it's gonna be a fast ride, but not a pleasant one for you."

"Huh, wha-"

Suddenly you feel a strong force pressing you into Flash

And the world around you spins in a strange way

A few moments later you find yourself in the hospital

Yeah, they didn't lie in media that Flashy Flash had inhuman speed!

"Oh…"

"You alright?"

"Y-yes, a bit nauseous, but overall, I'm okay."

"Yeah, others said that my speed was a bit overwhelming for them too."

Others? Ouch

Of course he saved many people before you

Why did you think you were special in the first place?

With these words, he finally takes you to the receptionist

As they register you, you realize that soon enough Flashy Flash will go

(and you probably will never see him again)

"Thank you," you begin. "I'm really grateful that you saved my life and took me to the hospital. Most heroes would just go straight away."

Flash doesn't answer you immediately, staring into the distance as if he's considering something

"Usually I'd walk away too," he finally says, his gaze falling on you. "But… Something made me not to. ..I guess it's your bravery. Not everyone has the guts to fight back a monster. You handled it rather well."

"Uh, thanks, but… You watched me instead of saving?"

"…"

"It doesn't matter. What I wanted to say is... you're a fighter, and I respect that."

You can't really follow what he's trying to say

"Thank you, it means a lot."

"Do you know what else means a lot?"

"…No?"

"You made me smile. That's what."

"But you said you don't smile?.."

He chuckles, "That I did. However, it'd be stupid of me to ignore the fact that I act differently towards you. I'm not known for my altruism towards other people, you know. So you can count yourself special."

"And I'd like to talk to you more… but under different circumstances next time."

"Really?"

"Yes. Why would I say that if I didn't mean it?"

"I just didn't expect that."

Meanwhile, the receptionist finishes registering you and calls nurses

"It looks like you're about to get treated."

"Yes, thank you again for helping me."

The S-class hero chuckles again, "I'm not going anywhere now. And I can't just leave my date, can I?"

"Huh?" you only manage to raise your eyebrows before nurses lay you on the hospital bed and start carrying you to a doctor

Fortunately, your injury isn't serious

You just need to bandage your leg, put some ointment on it, and try to walk less in the next three days

After that, you're free to go (literally)

Turns out that Flashy Flash was awaiting you the whole time, like he promised

Moreover, he takes you to your place

(to make sure that you'll be safe and won't strain your leg)

But due to another monster attack somewhere else, all you manage to do is exchange your contacts before S-class hero speeds away to do his job

Soon enough, you take your order and get ready to go on with the day

Maybe it's just a wrong moment and wrong time, or you just turned too suddenly

But you bump into someone and spill all of your drink other them

How embarrassing

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!!!"

"Don't worry, it happens..."

Your hands automatically take tissues and start trying to dry the liquid off their clothes

As you press the cloth against their stomach, you feel their rather pumped-up abs

And their body is rather cold too, comparing to human standards

Suddenly you realise what you're doing and stop

You feel like you're burning from embarrassment

"Sorry! I..."

You look up and see...

S-class hero Zombieman!

As if it couldn't get any worse

"Uh... It's alright", he takes your hands in his and gently pulls them away

Silence falls as he lets go of your hands

You notice that not only his shirt is stained, but there is also a huge wet spot across his white coat

Uh-oh...

"I'm really sorry... How can I make up for that?"

Zombieman scratches his neck and shrugs

"Hey, accidents happen, I understand that. It's kind of my fault too, I should have been more careful as well."

"I'm really embarrassed. So at least let me wash your clothes, please?"

"There is no need to. The Hero Association provides me with– On the second thought, you know what? If it helps you to feel better, you can wash my clothes."

"I... Thanks, I will!"

"Great. Then, if you don't mind, I'll give you my clothes later because I don't have spare ones. Do you have any plans for this evening?"

"Nope, I'm gonna be at home."

Both of you make plans to meet each other in this cafe and exchange your contacts

And after that, you go your separate ways

As you're doing your stuff at home, you still can't really believe your encouter with your favourite S-class hero, Zombieman

You always felt like there was a wall between heroes and civilians

But in reality, "protectors" are regular people too

As for you, you go back to your home

You're not quite sure what you're feeling

On one hand, you're worried that your favourite hero is not interested in you and you'll look stupid with your note

On the other hand, he did give you a gift

It must mean something, right?

You make tea for yourself and unpack cakes

As you start enjoying your treats, you notice a piece of paper

You take and unfold it

The text on the note says: "Hey, I'd really like to get to know you better. You already have my phone number, so text me if you feel the same :)"

You can't believe it

Zombieman IS interested in YOU

You immediately open your chat with Zombieman and start composing a message

A smile appears on your face and you type him back

Just like that, you spend the rest of the day texting with Zombieman

He asks you out

And of course you agree to go on a date with him on the next day in the cafe that you both like so much

Zombieman has a particular cafe where he likes to drink his coffee

He also notices a beautiful girl who visits this place regularly and takes her favourite pack of cakes and drink

Some time later, Zombieman realises that he subconsciously starts searching for you and wants to talk to you

He's attracted to you

Every time he runs into you and wants to start a conversation, he suddenly gets nervous

Now Zombieman is a calm man and he doesn't get nervous easily

So yeah, it means he likes you

One day he finally gets courage to talk to you and walks up to you

As he is about to say something

(he doesn't really know what to say in the first place)

You suddenly turn, bumping into him and spilling all your drink on him

Well, this is awkward

But the hero doesn't get mad because he understands that it's his fault too

When you start apologising and offering your help, he doesn't accept it in the begining

But then a thought that he could meet you again comes to his mind

And in the end, he agrees to your help

While you were washing his clothes, he was thinking about ways to ask you out

Zombieman wants to do it personally when you'll give him back his clothes

But he knows that he'll get nervous again

(that's why your meetings weren't full of small talks and conversations)

So he decides to settle for a backup plan: write a note and put it into the box with your favourite cakes

When you give him back his clothes, he feels like he finally has courage to ask you out

But Zombieman feels like something stuck in his throat and can't say anything

Well, it's a good thing he left a note, isn't it?

After meeting you, he puts on his cleaned coat and puts hands in the pockets

Suddenly he feels something in his pockets

You've already accepted the fact that you have feelings for him

And you're almost sure he feels the same by the way he talks to you and flirts with you as well

(though most of his pick-up lines suspiciously sound like they were taken from some omance games or manga)

You don't notice how the time passes and the game package arrives

Despite your protests, King buys the game not only for himself but also for you

In order to make up for that, you suggest going to some cafe

King agrees to eat out but still ends up paying as he wants to be a gentleman

You pout as you feel awkward about this and start nagging King about making up for all of this

"Please, King! I'm embarrassed that you paid for everything! How can I make up for that?"

"You can make up by going out with me."

He smirks pleased, but then his eyes widen and his mouth is agape

"I-I..."

"King, were you serious right now?"

A glimmer of hope fills your chest

"I mean... Yes. I did."

You exhale with relief

"Really? I'd love to!"

Now it's King's turn to let out sigh of relief

Both of you can't believe that this day is real

As for the date, King said that he'd take care of it and tell you when and where you'll go

(yeah, your trip to the cafe today didn't count as a date)

And when you appear in his life, he actually gets happier and wants to play and chat with you more

You feel a huge wave of relief, realising that you're safe now, and sense your body and lips trembling

Remembering about your life saver, you look at him, but the tears in your eyes don't let you examine him in detail

"Th-thank You!" you grab his hand, "Thank You so much! Y-you saved me! Thank You! How can I thank You?"

Garou looks at you both confused and annoyed

Confused because he's just not used to being treated like that, to people thanking him and clinging to him

Annoyed because he was in a bad mood the whole day

Thankfully, he let off some steam on the drunk man

Bu-ut the thought of other drunkards who pester fragile and helpless girls like you makes him angry again

It pisses him off

He hates it

Just look at you, clinging to him as if he's your lifebuoy

(well, he practically is)

When you calm down a bit, you let go of his hand and wipe away your tears

Now Garou is puzzled, not knowing what do next

Originally, he wanted to teach the prick a lesson and then continue going back to his place

But seeing your scared face made him realise that he can't let you go on your own

Looks like his plans changed

"Well, someone had to teach the bastard a lesson. Now let's go. I'll accompany you."

"Yeah, see ya. But next time will be a date," his signature cocky grin (that you already both hate and love at the same time) appears on his face

"You heard me, bye for now," he waves you goodbye with his back turned to you and disappears in the crowd

"I guess I have no choice, huh? Not that I complain though..." you mutter to yourself before closing a door with the biggest smile on your face

Garou isn't dumb when it comes to realising his feelings

Well, yeah, it scares him at first since he doesn't want to depend on anyone and possibly be heartbroken

He tries to avoid you, but his attempts are in vain

Because he tends to get close to you as much as possible both mentally and physically

So he has no other option but to accept his crush on you

The next thing he wants to know is your feelings towards him

So in order to do that, he starts watching your every move, reaction, glance, touch, smile and listening to your every word very attentively

And of course he sees signs of attraction

(at least he hopes that these are)

Garou isn't someone who will appear at your door with a bouquet of flowers and nicely ask you out

So yeah, he decides to act all confident and practically leave you no choice but to go out with him

(he doesn't want to even consider rejection)

But he shouldn't worry because there is no way you'd deny him, right? ;)

Your heart is breaking every time you see posters with missing pets

They look so happy in their photos

And who knows what happens to these poor creatures...

You also feel sorry for their owners who must feel devastated

(what makes it worse is that there are some idiots who find it funny to call pet owners and imitate animal sounds)

"U-um, good evening, I call you because I found your cat Tama."

"Oh my god, really?? Thank you so much!!! How is Tama?!"

"She is fine. Well, except for a wound on her leg. But don't worry, it's not serious, the healing process should take around one week."

"Oh, damn it, our poor cat... But thank you again for taking care of her. Where and when can I take her?"

"Well, she's with me at my place and I'm free for the rest of the evening, so if you want to take her back today, you can come whenever you want to."

"Great, I'll head out now. Where do you live?"

"Oh, right! How about I send you it in a message?"

"Yeah, that would be preferable, thanks. Alright, then I'm waiting for the address and heading out. See ya."

"Yeah, see you-" the line goes dead before you can finish your sentence, "soon..."

Sighning, you send the address and turn your attention back to the cat who is peacefully resting in the box

"Did you hear, Tama? Your owner is coming for you," you pet her head, "I know we've met just today, but I kinda got used to you. It's nice to have a pet, especially as chill as you. Heh, who knows, maybe I will even get someone in the future."

Soon a door bell rings

You reach the door, open it and see...

Metal Bat, an S-class hero!

(aka your celebrity crush)

(so that's why his voice seemed familiar on the phone)

(and oh god, he's even more handsome in reality than in the photos)

Metal Bat stares at you with mouth agape (and with a slight blush on his cheeks?), but quickly fixes his composure, clearing his throat

"Uh-h, hey, we're here for our cat, Tama."

We?

You look down and notice a small girl, holding Metal Bat's hand

She must be his little sister

And she has puffy eyes

Aww, poor thing must have been really worried about their cat

"Hello!" she confidently says

"Hey there. Um, please come in. Tama is sleeping now," you point at the cat

"Tama!" she immediately lets go of her brother's hand and rushes to the pet

"Hey, Zenko, wait, we're not at home, you can't just..." he extends his hand to stop his sister, but the little girl is faster

He sighs and looks at you, "Sorry about that. She was really worried about Tama. We both were."

You shrug it off, saying it was fine and reassuring him with sympathy

Both of you continue talking about Tama and how you rescued her while Zenko is hugging and petting the cat (who is still peacefully sleeping with belly upwards)

Metal Bat seems to be nervous (and even blushful?) in the conversation

You find it strange since he is always portrayed as a confident and tough man in the media

Maybe it's just his act? Who knows...

(in fact, he finds you really cute and attractive and has never interacted with girls like this before, that's why he feels anxious while talking to you)

However, his intense gaze (and the fact that you're talking to METAL BAT) makes you squirm too

What exactly is he looking at on your face? Oh god, what if he thinks you're ugly??

(he's actually admiring your beauty)

"We're forever grateful for finding Tama and treating her, seriously. We owe you big time, so is there anything we- I can do to thank you?

("Go on a date with me", you want to say)

"Ah, it's nothing, really! Like I said, I'm happy I could help, we need to take care of little ones."

"Yeah... But," he suddenly pulls something from his pocket and places it in your palm, "please take it."

You feel a big stack of cash in your hand

It's so big that you can barely clench your first

That is a LOT of money

"I... I can't accept that."

"No, take it," Metal Bat wraps his warm hands around yours, "Please, Y/n."

You both stare into each other eyes mesmerized

His hands never leaving yours

(and you love this)

(I'll tell you a secret that he loves it too, hence he doesn't move a muscle)

(moreover, he fights the sudden urge to kiss you)

"I... I just want you to know that I helped because I wanted to, not because of money..." you suddenly speak up

"Of course. Many people wouldn't even take Tama to the vet. So the fact you took care of our cat speaks volumes. We can't thank you enough," he notices that his hands are still on yours and awkwardly, yet reluctantly pulls them away, "Sorry..."

"Ah, it's okay..."

"Onii-chan, let's go home?" Zenko suddenly walks up to both of you

"Ah, yeah, we should get going now."

"Right, let me give you medicine for Tama."

You give a packet with stuff for the pet to Metal Bat since Zenko already holds Tama in her hands

They thank you again and you say bye to each other

Metal Bat seems to want to say something or ask you

But just shakes his head and heads out with his sister

And you're alone at home, processing what just happened

Both feeling pleasantly shocked that you talked to Metal Bat (and he even held your hand) and sad that that's all it was

He's gone now and you will never meet him

If he liked you, he would have asked you out, right?

Or maybe he was just too shy?

Or he simply didn't like you

Maybe he even has a girlfriend

But he wouldn't hold your hand and act like this in that case, would he?

Alright, then it means you just gotta message him and ask him out

Suddenly his breath catches in his throat, and his heart race speeds up

On the way back to their house, Zenko suddenly asks him a question, "Do you like Y/n, onii-chan?"

"Huh, what?"

"I like her, she is nice. And Tama was comfortable around her too, so it means a lot."

"Yeah, that's true..."

"You looked cute together. So, do you like Y/n?"

"I... Yeah, I think so."

"Then why you didn't ask her out?"

"Because it's probably not mutual."

"But I saw how she looked at you! She definitely liked you!"

"Really? You think so?"

"Yes! Now go back and ask her out!"

"No, Zen, it's not how it works. Too late for that."

"Onii-chan, you baka! You missed your chance!!"

When he finally sends you message next evening, he throws his phone on the table and leans back on the sofа, running his fingers through his hair and letting out deep breath

He finally did it

Now he needs to wait for your respo-

His phone vibrates, signaling that he received a new message

Feeling more nervous than before, he unlocks his phone and reads your reply

And then rereads it again

"Hey😊 Of course I remember you, and yes, I'd love to go on a date with you! What do you have in mind? :)"

He can't believe it

You said yes

(bruh, of course you did)

And now Badd needs to decide what you'll do on the date

Well, crap, he didn't think about that

Amai Mask is an idol

And of course he has tons of fangirls, either fawning over him or genuinely loving him

Still, he doesn't want to have relationships with his fans

Every fan knows that and yet believes that they can be the one for him

Don't get him wrong, he loves his fans, but it gets overbearing sometimes

The park has a nice yard with a beautiful fountain in the center of it, bushes with blossoming flowers grow around the perimeter and lovely benches are stated on each side of the yard

In addition, there aren't a lot of people at this place and he almost never gets recognized

The key word: almost

"A-ah! It's you, Amai Mask! I'm your biggest fan!!!" a woman's voice distracts him from enjoying his walk, "Can I get your autograph and photo with you?"

He turns around and sees a woman with bright make-up on her face, wearing a luxurious dress and high heels

"Of course, how can I reject my gorgeous fan?" he fakes his famous smile, fixing his hair, "Though, I don't have a pen, so there can be a problem."

"Thank you! Don't worry, I got everything covered," she pulls out a pen and a small poster with him

His favourite picture of him is printed on the paper

(alright, let's be fair, he loves every picture of him)

Amai Mask signs the poster, poses for a photo and says good-bye to his fans

Now he can continue on with his walk

... And run into his another fan again

Looks like he isn't going to spend his time alone without anyone disturbing him

After dealing with the fangirl, he decides that it's time for him to go home

Yeah, jacuzzi sounds nice now

As he heads out from the park, he feels someone tapping on his shoulder, "Um, excuse me, sir..."

Ugh, not another one

"I'm sorry, sweetheart, as much as I love my fans and would like to give you my autograph, I can't. I have to be somewhere else, so I don't have time," he truns around and fixes his hair, arrogantly closing his eyes, and waves his hand as if dismissing the person

"What, you're so busy that you can't even take your scarf?"

"Huh?" he opens his eyes and sees you, handing him his scarf

Ah, it must have fallen

"Thanks, cutie..." he takes it and notices a rather suspicious figure from the corner of his eyes

A man prepares his camera to take a photo of Amai Mask... and you

Oh no, he knows where this is going

The reporter wants to make gossip about him and you!

Pop idol loves being in the center of attention and using gossip about him to gain more popularity, but for now he can't let that happen

So what to do?

Walk away? No, the reporter will get suspicious that both of you are hiding something

Act like you asked for his autograph and he was about to give it to you? This will work, but there is a risk you won't play along and that will draw even more suspicion

Pretend that he is the one who picked up the scarf? Yeah, it'll make him look good, but again, there'll be a high chance you won't go with the flow

What if you're one of those fans who want to be the center of attention with him?

Well, no matter what, Amai can just threaten the journalist and deal with him this way, but he doesn't want to

So, what to do? He needs to decide now

"Hey, I know this might be strange, but I need you to do something for me, no, for both of us," he whispers, "Just act like you're my fan who asks for my autograph. There is a reporter behind you who is about to film us together in order to publish some scandalous articles. You don't want that, do you?"

You skeptically raise your eyebrow

"Just who he thinks he is?" you ask yourself, "He looks like one of the guys who are too full of themselves and believe that the world resolves around them. ..So maybe it's some kind of prank? They're popular nowadays. Yeah, it must be."

"Ha-ha, very funny," you cross your arms, "And let me guess, the reporter is actually a friend of yours, and he's filming us. If I "play along", you two will upload a compilation of videos with people giving you autographs because you're allegedly a pop star."

Your words are like blades that cut through his ego

"... What? Do you even know who I am?"

"And why should I? I could care less."

Another strike right through his ego

"You know what? I don't have time for that. I've got better things to do than arguing with... you."

Now Sweet Mask strikes back

"..."

"HUUUUUUUUUH?" you suddenly exclaim, "Just who do you think you are to talk like that?!"

"And now you care enough to know who I am, huh?" he smirks

"Actually, no. I know who you are. You are a self-obsessed wannabe pop idol!"

Amai snorts, "Self-obsessed you say? That's rich coming from you."

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah, excuse you. You accuse me of being narcissistic when you're the one who thinks highly of herself, believing that she's so special because she didn't fall for a prank. But in reality, no one even pranked you. What, you're that desperate to be popular on the Internet?"

"What?" you cringe. "You're the desperate one. Otherwise, explain to me why you "warned" me about some reporter and now don't even care about him?"

Oh

He forgot about that

Instantly checking the journalist behind you, Sweet Mask sees him, taking pictures of you two

Great, just great! Everything goes NOT according to his plan

Instead of relaxing and spending time by himself, he has to deal with you and a noisy reporter

Groaning, Amai Mask moves past you and walks up to the man with the camera, starting to deal with him

You turn around and watch the scene

Turns out you were wrong. No one was pranking you. You in fact talked to the famous pop idol – Sweet Mask! And he was indeed right about the journalist

Well, this is embarassing

Should you do something? Or just walk away?

While you're contemplating what to do next, you glance at Amai Mask and start examining him

He is tall, muscular... and handsome

Damn, he is attractive, awfully attractive

And why is he kinda-

Wait, what are you even thinking about?

You walk to two men only to see the reporter literally fleeing from Amai Mask's wrath... and coldness?

It's a bit freezing when you approach him, maybe it was wind? Doesn't matter now, the cold is gone anyway

"So," he crosses his arms and stares at you

"... I'm sorry."

For a moment, there is a hint of surprise on his face, but it immediately fades away, turning back into annoyance

"I just had a shitty day and sorta lashed it out on you. That was wrong of me. Sorry again."

He keeps staring at you with crossed arms over his chest

You can't really read his gaze

Is he examining you? Cursing you? Waiting for you to say something? Battling between forgiving you or staying mad at this whole situation?

As you start walking away, he calls out to you, "A shitty day you say?"

"Uh, yeah," you turn back to him

"I'm not having a good day either. So..." he gets closer to you, "It looks like we both need to blow some steam off, to just chill and relax, huh?"

"Damn right. I just want to flop onto my bed and do nothing."

"I feel you. Though I was wondering something."

"Mmm?"

"How about we talk again when we have a good day? Or we can meet up to make our days better?"

Woah, what? Is he asking you out?

"I thought you hated me?"

"What gave you that vibe? My retorts? Well, it's only fair to treat others the same way they treat you. Besides, I like your feisty personality and pretty looks."

Wow, that's suspiciously unexpected

What if he is a playboy and wants to use you?

There were a few rumors about him and his one-night stands back then

Seeing your troubled face, Amai Mask clears his throat, "And no, it's not a prank or something like that. I'm serious. It'd be a shame if I missed an opportunity to get closer to you and regretted it later."

Pop idol smirks, "Good answer. Here is a card with my phone number, please send a first message with your... name. Huh, I can't believe I still didn't ask it."

"Thank you," you smile at the compliment, taking his business card

The way he says your name makes your heart flutter for some reason

When he's done threatening the poor reporter and hears your apology, he's surprised for a second because he didn't take you as someone who would be sorry for their behavior

And one day there is a limited sale

You get to the shop just in time to see that the last napa cabbage on sale is left

You extend your hand to take it as you feel someone's arm grabbing the cabbage

... and of course it's a bald man who you frequently run into

You look into each other eyes, both hands on the poor vegetable

Spark, emotions, passion... a-a-and he goes away with the cabbage without a care in the world

(Alright, maybe with a care to buy everything before the sale ends)

The only thing you can do is to just hum disappointed and look at the back of the retreating man

And come to think that you romanticized every encounter with him!

When you finish grocery shopping and walk out of the store, you meet Saitama with bags full of goods

It seems he has been been waiting for something... or someone, for example, Demon Cyborg

Giving one last look at him and at the cabbage in his hands, you begin walking to your house

Suddenly you hear a man clearing his throat and a "Hey, you wanted the cabbage, didn't you? Sorry, I took the last one. Here, I splitted it in half so both you and me could have it."

You turn around and see him extending the part of the vegetable

"And maybe you can be my other half?"

You're surprised to hear these words and blink for a few moments, thinking you misheard him

Saitama stares at you right back with a poker face, so maybe it's a prank after all?

"Are you joking with me right now?"

In return Saitama blinks with surprised eyes and shakes his head, reassuring that he is serious

"Well, how about we learn each other's name first and then see how it goes?" you answer, smiling and taking the half of the cabbage

And that's how you find out Saitama's name and agree to a first date

You begin walking back to your house and can't help but turn around to glance at Saitama

Then you see two figures coming up to him... from the bush

(And there is a big bunch of napa cabbage in the bush?)

You immediately recognize Demon Cyborg and... King?! Or is it someone who looks like him?

Soon you hear men talking

"How did it go, sensei? Did my tactic with cabbage work?"

"Yeah, Saitama bro, tell us. I hope you used phrases from mang- phrases I recommended to you?"

Chuckling, you continue going back home to the sound of Saitama's irritated voice, "Huh? I don't even know what you're talking about! What are you two doing here?"

"Helping you with your love interest, Saitama-sensei!"

"I said I could do it by myself! And I did it!.. Wait, why is there a bunch of cabbage in the bush?"

"I bought all of this for you, master! With only one cabbage being left, the chance you would talk to Y/n were higher than-"

"Wait-wait-wait, how do you know her name?"

"I scanned her face and found a lot of information about her."

"Genos, you can't do that!"

"If it can help you, why not? For example, I noticed that Y/n always buys napa cabbage, so that's why we needed to buy most of them, except for one."

"Wait, we? King, were you in this from the very beginning?"

"Maybe?" *nervous giggling*

Yep, dating Saitama is definitely gonna be interesting

Saitama has a problem, besides not having a worthy opponent to show him an interesting fight

And this issue is... his emotionlessness

Of course he can feel something like irritation, disappointment, a pang of hope, ardor from gambling, etc.

But it's not something deep

So he is confused when he gets this weird feeling in his chest every time he sees you

And the fact that he remembers your face and recognizes you speaks volumes

He also starts to think of you from time to time

That's strange

Soon enough he realises that he likes you

And just accepts this rather calm

(thanks to his nonchalant demeanor)

He's also too lazy to think about dating someone, getting to know them, going out somewhere, spending his money on something...

Nah, it's not for him, so his feelings for you will fade away eventually

Spoiler: they won't, it only gets worse

Alright, so he should just walk up to you, ask you out, get rejected and go on with his life peacefully

Sounds like a plan

"So, Saitama, you're quite pensive today, what's on your mind?" King asks while kicking his friend's ass in a game

"Eh, there's just a girl that I like. I thought it was temporary, but I guess I was wrong. So yeah, I gotta ask her out."

King is both perplexed and shocked: is this really Saitama? Saitama who isn't wasn't looking for a relationship? And he acts like it's something usual?

Ah, it's Saitama, he is always cool as cucumber, right

"I see. So, how are you gonna talk to her? And who is she, by the way?"

"Well, I don't know her. We just keep running into each other. I will just go and ask her out. If she rejects me, then I'l just live on. If she agrees on going on a date, then I... I guess I will deal with it on the spot."

"Huh, in that case you should think about your words to impress her. Something like "It looks like destiny keeps bringing us together, huh?", or "I know we don't know each other, so why don't we fix that?", or "I keep running into you, I think it's because you're magnetic.", or..."

"I agree with King," Genos suddenly says, watching Saitama play videogames with the S-Class hero, "I also believe that lucky coincidences such as choosing one product, accidentally bumping into her, standing next to each other in line can increase the chance of success. Though, sensei, I know you don't need any of that, she should feel honoured to be considered as a romantic partner for you. If she is not, then she doesn't deserve you and isn't able to see your greatness, master."

"Yeah-yeah..." Saitama answers to both men

(he didn't listen to them)

So when he takes the cabbage right from your hands and hears your disappointed hum, he feels like a jerk (just a little bit)

But on the other hand, it means that you'll probably reject him and he can go back to his usual life, right?

In that case, he can't let the chance slide

While he is waiting for you to appear, he decides to apologize and give you the half of the cabbage after all

Maybe it will irritate you more and make you dislike him?

Oh, and in addition he should say something romantic-alike, so you'd definitely say no to him and he could continue his peaceful li-

You agree to go on a date with him

Oops, everything goes NOT according to the plan

But, surprisingly for Saitama, he doesn't feel sad or troubled with the outcome

On the contrary, he's excited and feels like it's easier for him to breath now

And strange, but in a good way

Genos is always busy with Saitama or away on missions, at S-Class hero meetings, at Dr. Kuseno's place, etc.

So he doesn't have time to date, not that he's interested in it, getting stronger and taking revenge on The Mad Cyborg is his top priority!

(Saitama and Dr. Kuseno are his top priority too of course)

Though, you unintentionally managed to catch his eye

How? Genos doesn't know

Once he just noticed you feeding a stray cat when he was going to Saitama's place

After that he started seeing you there again, again and again

Until one day he decides to walk up to you

Why? Genos doesn't know

And he just stands there, staring at you and the stray cat

You glance up to him and can't help but feel intimidated by Demon Cyborg

"Uh, excuse me, can I help you?" your voice comes out like a begging for mercy

He looks straight into your eyes

Even though his gaze is intense, you feel yourself getting lost in his eyes (as cheesy as it sounds)

There is something capturing about them, they are so cold yet so humane

"No, I just noticed that you regularly feed this cat," suddenly the young man speaks

"Ah, yeah, I do," you answer, breaking eye contact and returning your attention back to the cat, "Isn't he cute?"

All what you get in return is a simple "Yeah"

The S-class hero definitely wants to hear more of you

Why? Genos doesn't know

How can he continue your conversation without asking stupid questions? Or what if you want him to back off? Why does he care about any of this, anyway?

Young man catches himself overthinking for a first time in a long time

(silly boy doesn't understand that he always overthinks everything, especially anything related to his sensei)

Genos comes back to real life when you stand up, say goodbye to him and go… wherever you have to

He stands there, processing what just happened and deciding that there are some things that matter more than this

After a minute he walks away to Saitama's place

If only could he understand how wrong he was, not realising that it was far more than just a simple conversation

Because Genos starts seeking for any opportunities to run into you, to talk to you again, making your conversations longer and longer (and he is successful in this)

Even Saitama notices it and start teasing him about his crush

Genos denies it of course

But sensei doesn't believe his student and points out to young boy's attraction

(Saitama is desperate to get Genos spend his time somewhere else, besides his home)

"Just go on a date with her and see how it goes. If both of you don't enjoy it, then I guess I was wrong. But if everything goes well, why not take your chance? It's not like you will lose anything... Well, except for money."

"Sensei, I... I must write it down!"

In all seriousness, Genos listens to Saitama's advice and decides to go for it

The next day after this conversation he spots you feeding the stray cat yet again

When he walks up to you, he notices that you didn't have much to offer

Genos.exe stopped working

"Don't you have some better things to do? I don't know, go to some meetings or... flirting with that girl... or whatever."

"Sensei, I... I must write it down!"

"No, that's not what you should do..."

"To be honest, master Saitama, I think you are right. I have underestimated the effect that Y/n-san has on me, so I agree that I need to get to know her better. Thank you, sensei."

The next day Genos spends on throughly planning asking you out

(yeah, he likes to think everything through)

So, we all know that Sonic lives in the forest

And he has a special place with a lake and waterfalls where he likes to spend his time and think about... well, everything

Escape reality, you know?

Sonic even believes that he's the only one who knows about this magical spot

Just imagine his face when one day after the intense training he goes there and sees someone in the lake

Disappointed, he decides to make an exception and leave this person alone

Soon he'll come back and his spot will be free, right?

Well, yeah, but...

This keeps happening every time he tries to unwind under intense waterfall pressure

Of course Sonic sees this as competition

He needs to complete his training faster and reach the lake before this person appears? You are on!

And he manages to do that

Proud of himself, he relaxes under streams of waterfall

But there is one thing Sonic didn't think through: you weren't aware of your competition

So, you go to the lake to spend your time here as usual

(you don't notice a young man sitting on the rock in the waterfall)

You unpack your things, lay a blanket and get undressed, staying only in a swimsuit

Suddenly you manage to barely notice something or someone moving in the bushes

Soon you realize it was a man

Not wasting your time on thinking, you immediately grab your stuff and start running away

Your heart starts beating even faster when you hear him calling you and chasing after you

It gets even scarier when you catch a glimpse of this man chaotically jumping from a tree to tree with unbelievable speed

You keep running until you bump into something and fall

Rubbing your bruised area, you open your eyes and see the same young man in front of you

And he is... naked???

"Aaaaah! Don't touch me!" you scream, crawling away from him and throwing tiny sticks at him

"Hey, stop doing that!' Sonic brushes off all of your attempts to defend yourself, "I won the competition and came here first, so it's my turn to spend time here!"

"What?"

"You heard me. You were at MY lake every time I came there! So I took it as a competition and today I won! I came here first!"

"Your lake? There is no sign saying it's a private property! Since when it's your lake?!"

"I discovered it first."

"What's not how it works!"

"Whatever. I came here first, so I have every right to be there alone."

"And I have every right to be there too! Since it's a public place in the forest!"

"But I left you alone every time you were here!"

"Well, you didn't have to! Or you could put something on, you know!.. Wait, "every time"?.. You were watching me? Pervert!!!"

"What? No! I went back to my place!"

"... Just cover yourself already!" you find your blanket and throw it at him

Taking your blanket, Sonic wraps it around his waist

"Listen, man, if you don't want me coming here, just say it and let me go. I don't want any trouble..." you stand up and wipe away all all the dirt

He is about to exclaim, agreeing with the condition, but... he examines you and your body

You are... rather cute... beautiful... lovely!

Suddenly the thought of never seeing you again makes him sad

"N-no, it's not like that..." he whispers, looking away and trying not to blush

(he miserably fails to cover the pink colour on his cheeks)

"J-just... Uh.."

Why does he feel nervous suddenly?

Meanwhile you stare at him, taking in his every feature

He has beautiful loose wet hair and a sporty body which is covered in scars and in drops

And his face is so cute!

But let's not judge a book by its cover, right?

"You can come here whenever you want to..." Sonic finally speaks

"... Thanks? But isn't it the opposite of what you wanted?"

He's silent for a moment, "It doesn't matter. I just want not to be disturbed. That's all."

"I can understand that. Well, how about we just distribute the time according to which we will spend time on the lake?" you try to find a solution to the problem

"... Yeah, that makes sense. But maybe, uh... Youcangivemeyournumber so we could inform each other?"

"Ah, what did you say?"

"I said... Let's exchange our phone numbers?"

"Good idea, it's more reasonable than what I suggested."

And just like that Sonic dictates his number to you, says goodbye and runs away, disappearing in the woods

"Uh, wait! My blanket..."

But it's too late, he's nowhere to be seen

(don't worry, he returns it next time you see each other)

You'd think that this is how your relationship develops: quick meeting and texts turn into long ones

But Sonic is faster than that

So he awkwardly asks you out a couple days after this… "incident"

Of course you say yes, why not?

Bonus:

For the rest of day Sonic isn't himself

His thoughts always come back to you, to your sweet voice, to your cute face, to your capturing eyes, to your alluring lips that he badly wants to ki-

So why does he feel like this?

Why he wishes you'd be here with him and watch how he trains?

Why he wants to amaze you?

Why he wants you to text him more? To be with him under a waterfall? To show him your kindness again? To spend more time with you?

Why he craves your presence and attention so damn much?

These thoughts live rent free in his mind 24/7

He even dreams about you!

The next day it gets worse

He feels like he's a obsessed maniac

(poor guy just wanted to interact with someone and be accepted as a normal person: he doesn't realize how lonely he is)

And maybe he has a crush on you?

Nooooooo, he can't have someone something distracting him now, can he?

...

In the end of day (literally) he admits his feelings for you

However, he can't just confess to you straight away, right?

He needs to take steps

For example, he should start by asking you out first

But how?

Should he casually suggest spending time together?

Or maybe just send you a text?

Or leave a note somewhere?

Or maybe he should show you some of his tricks and wow you that way?

Well, considering how you tried to run away from him... it might be not the best idea

And since he wants to talk to you in person, then the only option left is to have a conversation with you and ask you out

Now he has another problem: what should he say?

"Go out with me."

"I thought it'd be great to spend some time together one evening. What do you say?"

"Heeeeey, watcha doin', girl? Wanna hang out with me?"

"Y/n, I know I came off as someone weird or creepy, but I promise I'm not. Our first meeting wasn't quite what you would call normal, but maybe let's change that?"

Ugh, why is it so hard to come up with anything good?

Maybe he should just go with the flow and the right words will find their way?

(little he knows he's gonna mess everything up)

When it's time for him to approach you and start a conservation, he feels like he's going to puke from nervousness

But it's too late to back out

"Hey, Sonic! How was the training?"

"Hey... Uh, good. And you?"

(he was thinking about asking you out instead of training)

"Me too, the weather is nice and the water is warm."

"G-good to know..."

"Alright, see you around, Sonic!" you wave him goodbye, starting to go away

"W-wait!" he suddenly exclaims, pointing at you... and blushing?

"Huh? What is it?" you stop, turning to him

"I... I... I'm not a pervert!"

"O-okay, glad to know so? I mean, I kinda figured that out, despite, well, you know what..."

"But I want to- Around you I- What about-"

"What?'

Taking a deep breath, he finally asks, "Do you remember how we first met?'

"Of course, it was just two days ago..."

"Let's repeat that!"

"Whaaa- No, let's not!"

"I mean... Let's, uh, start over?"

"What exactly do you mean by that?"

Feeling embarrassed, he sighs, "I want to take you out..."

"Eeeeh? So what's why you have a katana? To kill me?! Please, don't..."

"What? No! I wanted to know if you'd like to go on a date with me... But I guess I messed up... So forget it."

"That's a shame, because I'd like to spend some time with you."

"Really?!"

"Yep."

"You're not joking?"

"Nope, I'm not. Well, unless you are."

You can tell by Sonic's facial expression he didn't expect such turn of events

"I'm serious! I'll send you the information!"

"Okay!" you smile, giving him thumb up

"Bye!" after saying that, he disappears

"Bye?.." you say to nothing (again)

Though, you kinda feel relieved to be left alone since you need to calm your racing heart down and stop yourself from jumping out of happiness

As for Sonic, he spends a lot of time, trying to calm down and reassure himself that his dream wish came true and he's not dreaming

(yeah, Sonic is a blushing mess around you)
