what happened with the ghost pepper fiasco???? 👀

Oh, you know. Just the Bad Decision Duo making some bad decisions in the name of one-upmanship. Like always.

The kids walking together toward our left, Para Dee and Meta chatting in front, DDD bringing up the rear and looking annoyed as he carries a rambuncious Bow Dee on his back. Meta: Hey, Para, what’s with all those boxes in front of your house? Someone moving? Para: Huh? Oh, that! Nah, that’s just some stuff my dad ordered. He got a new cookbook from the Library Turtle and wanted to try a buncha new recipes. Meta: Oh, neat. What’d he get?
Bust shot of DDD and Bow, each perking up in curiosity as their friends continue to talk off-screen. Para: Eh, y’know, the usual - flour, eggs, a whole lotta fruits and spices… But he got some weird stuff, too… like these ghost pepper things imported all the way from Neo Star. Meta: “Ghost pepper”? What’s that? Para: Well, it’s a pepper, obviously… but, like, if a pepper was made of pure hatred. Meta: Whoa… are they really that bad? Para: Meta, I only stood near one of those things, and my eyes started to water. I can’t imagine what it’s like to actually eat one.
Bust shot of DDD and Bow, turning their heads in unison to share a covert glance, mischievous grins perking up on their faces, a spark of challenge arcing between their eyes. DDD: Betcha I can eat more scary death papers than you can, tater tot. Bow: Ha! You’re gonna eat those words, birdbrain! Bring it on!

One very brief pepper-eating contest later…

DDD and Bow lying in simple hospital beds (presumably in the village clinic), hooked up to IV drips and looking quite sick in wake of their little competition. In the front, Bow lies back with a slightly-pained smile, her face tinged green as she shakily holds up a shiny gold trophy with a drawing of a flaming pepper taped to the front, a piece of tape over the placard on the bottom to make it read “First Place - Bow Dee.” Para stands in front at her bedside with his back to us, a drop of sweat on his head as he looks at his friend in concern. In the back, DDD curls in on himself in clear agony, his head covered so that only his top feathers are visible on the pillow, his blankets twisted tightly around him in a futile attempt to ease the pain, while Meta stands near the base of the bed admonishing him. Meta: No offense, Dee… but that might’ve been the dumbest thing you and Bow have ever done. DDD: Ugh, can it, Blue. I don’t need yer sass right now. *urp* Para: (thinking) … Is that my science fair trophy?

They end up bedridden for a whole week after that, and grounded by their horrified parents for even longer. Doesn't stop Bow from bragging about the win, though, even into the present day. Dedede tries his very best to pretend it never happened (and steers clear of ghost peppers from then on).

The butterfly of paradise is drawn to the realm of the living where it senses an ancient powerful soul that needs to be claimed. There it was led to a princess who seems to be imbued with water magic. Curious to know more, it flies towards her. The closer it got, the more soul power it felt. It then catches the attention of the princess and she reaches out to the butterfly unaware of its other worldly power but feels that something is…off. The butterfly starts to cast its judgment upon her and it begins to feast on her soul transforming into the fearsome scarlet clad knight of the underworld, Morpho Knight.
