A new outfit for moon (red moon)

Red moons are caused by the earth passing between the sun and moon. The blue light from the sun remains in the atmosphere, giving the sky its blue color, while the redder light casts a shadow which can make the moon appear orange or even red.

A few days ago I saw this phenomenon in real life for the first time. I’ve been wanting to see such a dark red moon for a long time, but I didn’t think I would be so lucky. I am thankful for this blessing.

In the comic’s lore, bodies that are geologically inactive and have no atmospheric activity (in other words nothing happens on them) are represented as characters with blank eyes. This includes the Moon, Mercury and some dwarf planets.

I’ve seen this exact artist’s impression of this planet and heard the same script about how fast the winds are and how it rains glass about a million times. In my opinion, there are other cool hot jupiters to talk about, we don’t have to stick to this one. Something I actually found out about this planet when making this drawing is that its star is in a binary system with a red dwarf, not that it would matter much for the planet anyways.

In the comic lore she would probably be a baddie that Jupiter is jealous of for being way cooler than him or something lmao, but I’m not planning on making an episode with her soon.

The Galilean Moons

The Galilean Moons each have their quirks; Io is the most volcanic body in the Solar System due to tidal forces from Jupiter and other moons, Ganymede is the biggest moon and is even larger than planet Mercury, Callisto has the oldest surface in the Solar System, suggesting no geological activity has taken place since its formation, and Europa has a giant ocean under its surface, which some believe can sustain life. In this comic, the moons are reimagined as siblings, each with different personalities and relationships with their strict, overbearing parental figure, Jupiter.

Earth and Moon

The Giant Impact Hypothesis proposes that a mars sized planet named Theia crashed into Earth during its formation, leading to the formation of the moon from the debris.

This is still one of the earlier episodes so it’s lower quality and really edgy.

Triton’s origin story

Triton, moon of Neptune, is hypothesised to have been a binary dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt a long time ago. It got separated from its twin in an encounter with Neptune and got caught in its gravity. As a result, it orbits the opposite way of its planet’s rotation and is by far bigger than any of its other moons.

This was the first planet lore episode I’ve ever made. Planet lore isn’t the title or anything, it doesn’t have a name so I don’t have anything else to call it.
