Coming back to tumblr for a second and checking your blog is like being outside in the cold and getting into a warm house with a fireplace aaaa how I missed this! I just gotta say how much I adore your playful and creative compositions, the full whimsy of it all! Your art just brings me such a sense of joy and nostalgia. The flowy and crisp lines and the vibrant colors, even when u do something more black and white, or something dramatic, I love it all! I am so glad to have found your art and be able to enjoy it, all of it but especially when u do Martin and Lewis art! You rock, dude!!!

It’s reassuring to know someone enjoys what I bring to my work as an artist beyond the subject matter so seriously thank you. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone break down my art positively like this before. Kind words from someone as insanely talented as you means so much ^^

My current method for motivation is:

Put on Martin and Lewis 2002> work like hell> finish my task super fast> reward myself by turning off the movie

When the dork in the yellow vest sings “Broadway rhythm everybody dance” everyone better dance

Risograph esque style posters got me in a tailspin- they just scratch the itch in my brain that craves crazy noise and colour

Finished this a while back and it could really use more inbetweens but there’s no time for that- anyways THEY DANCE

A friend pointed out how absolutely nasty the gun is in the original so here’s my addendum and maybe in a few more months I’ll fix the gun again and then fix the horse and hand ughhhhhhhh im gaRgliNg blood

My love of cowboys, westerns and Dean Martin can’t compete with my hatred of drawing horses

I've been spending a lot of time listening to Bo Burnham songs and going "DAMN, this sounds like it was specifically written about Jerry" (mainly about songs like goodbye and art is death) as of late.

The thought has been plaguing me for a while now so I decided to share svsvsjk.

Heh so… I see you’ve got a case of “I see them everywhere” syndrome just like me lmao

To be serious tho I love Bo Burnham. You’re right that a lot of his songs work for Jerry- “Comedy” is a big one and “Look Who’s Inside Again” (my fav song on the album) makes me think of Dean in the lead up to the split not knowing how to be on his own UGHh ALSO- “Goodbye” is literally the breakup/Jerry at Dean’s funeral and I’ll cry.

I had big ideas when I started this- but classes are crazy so sharing what I have (from months ago) seemed better than nothing since I’ve taken ages with this already (im real sorry bout that btw)

It’s really disjointed bc the unfinished sections ;-; but I wanted to try smth low pressure/different. Compiling the clips my reaction was “god this is depressing as hell” bc it reminds me of the vent art I made way back lol… sad Jerry stuff and all.
